Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser

I adored HABA Squa Facial Soap for almost 2 years but I've changed my heart to Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser!

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser cleanse, moisturise and is gentle on skin. This cleanser will not strip the natural protective oils or emollient and disturb the natural PH's balance. I love the pleasantly tight (surprisingly cleanser that leave slight tight feeling is considered as good) after a wash with Cetaphil. I also like the fact that Cetaphil Cleanser can be used with and without water. Which means, I can massage my skin with adequate amount of Cetaphil cleanser and wipe it off with tissue or a piece of cloth. No rinse needed.

Although, it's a cleanser and according to their website, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser can be acting as mild makeup remover. Seriously, I doubt so. I've seen plenty of reviews on it's makeup removing ability. So far, nothing fantastic came out. I have my DOVE Cleansing Foam, which I bought from Japan months ago hence I do not use Cetaphil to cleans up any makeup. Unless I have only sunscreen without a single trace of makeup.

I bought my first Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser at Jusco few months ago at RM48.00 (473ml) of something like that. I went back for 2nd bottle but couldn't get any after searched for 2 different Jusco malls. Out of resorts, I ran to Guardian and got myself a new bottle at RM47.90 for 473ml too. Today, I went to the small pharmacy next to my office and they actually carrying CETAPHIL ! They have plenty of stocks and only selling RM72.00 for 2 bottles of 473ml Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser ! Arghghhhhhhh... Stupid me! I've been searching high and low over the product yet it's actually available right in front of me and yes! it is much much much more cheaper! To think, RM72.00 for 2 bottles and it's only RM36.00 for each 473ml ! I've paid RM18.00 more for each bottle but at least I know where to get my Cetaphil in future...

Loving Minerals Hauls 2: Eyeshadows

Apart from brushes, I'd bought 5 eyeshadows sample from Loving Minerals. A set of 5 eyeshadows sample kit selling at RM35.00. While you can also purchase a set of 10 eyeshadows sample kit at RM65.00. I'd purchased a set of 10 eyeshadows sample kit last year and quite liking it thus I made my repurchased and here's the haul's review:

Seduction:
According to Loving Minerals website, Seduction is a soft light tan with slight metallic copper sheen. To me, Seduction looks like dirty soil. Hahahaha... Have not tried the color yet, not even a swatch. Personally, I think Seduction will look good on any skin tone and if you like 'down to earth' style. This should be the right color for you. RM24.00, approximately USD7.40 for full size of 1 gram powder in 5 gram sifter jar.

Midnight:
Dark and mysterious navy blue with black undertones. I have no idea why am I still buying blue eyeshadow when I don't use them but I guess it's really hard for anyone to keep this beautiful dark blue away from their makeup trash. Hahahaha... Tried this yesterday, I will suggest to use it as eyeliner. I do find it quite difficult to blend it out, it creates a dirty and messy smokey eyes. The color is a bit similar (or Midnight is tad darker) to my Bloom 'Marine' but 'Marine' color payoff is so much silkier, smoother and blend-able. Until today, 'Marine' is still my favourite blue eyeshadow. With the price tag of only RM29.00, approximately USD9.00 for 2 grams powder in 10 grams sifter jar. I guess I can't complain much. Hehehe...

Green Glimer:
According to Loving Minerals website, Green Glimmer is a medium green with glimmery green flecks. I'm using green glimer as a base color this morning and accidentally dropped it and spilled the powder all over the basin! There's no way I can rescued the eyeshadow powder as my basin was wet after brushing teeth. My first and last use, I'm so sad! In fact, I've found Green Glimer is similar to my Beaute De KOSE Precious Jade palette, if you still remember but lighter and shimmery. RM29.00, approximately USD9.00 for 2 grams powder in 10 grams sifter jar.

Envy:

According to their website, Envy is a light green with subtle yellow / light gold tones. To me, you can easily recreate this color using any yellow or gold together with green eyeshadow. It looks darker in real but the powder is fine milled. I would prefer to apply Envy near to the inner corner of my eye. Envy is a matte finish. So if you are looking for a nice matter green eyeshadow, this might be a good choice. RM24.00, approximately USD7.40 for 1 gram powder in 5 grams sifter jar.

Emerald:
Rich and vibrant emerald green. Gorgeous green eyeliner. RM29.00, approximately USD9.00 for 2 grams powder in 10 grams sifter jar.
Denim:
Light blue with medium sheen. I used it as an eyeliner yesterday and the light sky blue really pop and beautiful. I wouldn't dare to use Denim anywhere larger than a thin line near to lashes, unless I can master the techniques of applying makeup. Hahaha... Cat's Eye:
Deep sage green with yellow sparks. Similar green with Green Glimer but tad darker. Hence, Cat's Eye also means similar to green color in Beaute De Kose Precious Jade palatte. RM29.00, approximately USD9.00 for 2 grams in 10 grams sifter jar.
Cafe Latte:

Creamy light tan with a hint of sparkles. Initially I thought Cafe Latte will be a nice highlighter but it turns out to be a 'not so good'. I suggest is the large and coarse sparkles creates uneven surface during application. Unlike MAC pigments, even with sparkles MAC pigments still smooth on skin. I'd held the highest expectation on Cafe Latte among recent haul but it seriously let me down. I've tried twice and both didn't turned up well. RM29.00, approximately USD9.00 for 2 grams powder in 10 grams sifter jar.

Colors above are purchased in sample size of 1/4 teaspoon but not full size. I always prefer to try on sample before digs into buying full size. Most of the colors are beautiful in pans but not on skin. I've learnt my lesson not to buy in full price for something I can't try or before tested on skin. Loving Minerals offering attractive sample kits and that's really a great start for those whom wishes to try but don't know which one to choose from. My best friend, who only makeup occasionally also joining my fun and got herself a Loving Minerals Sample Kit.

I'm a happy girl because I've received my Loving Minerals package last week. Woo Hoo!!!

Loving Minerals Duo Fiber Blush Brush (RM38.00, approximately USD11.70).

I have bad experience with Etude House Duo Fiber Brush but when I see this pink handle brush available in Loving Minerals, I can't help but to have it.

To my surprise, Loving Minerals Duo Fiber Blush Brush or Whisper Blush Brush as printed on the brush is smaller and not consolidated. Loose bristles wouldn't pick up too much powder and Loving Minerals Duo Fiber Blush Brush really does a good job. It allows me to build up a decent amount of cheek color without over doing it. Not to afraid of picking up too much powder. Overall length of this brush is 4 1/2 inches, quite handy. I found that my pink handle has cracked in many lines. No idea why it cracked but I guess it won't affected the performance so I never return it.

Ditto 'O' Powder Blush (RM43.00, approximately USD13.30).

I bought a sample pack last year together with my 'Loving Sample Kit' and love it very much. Thus, I can't stop myself from ordering a Ditto 'O' in full size, 4g. It's very pigmented and looks great on any skin tone. I've received a lot of compliments from applying Ditto 'O'. Peach and pink with light golden shimmer really gives me a healthy glow. Although in Loving Minerals website stated, Ditto 'O' is similar to NARS Orgasm but I never tried NARS Orgasm hence I can't provide any comparison on this. You might need some techniques in order to apply powder blush as I always having problem in even it out.

Lumiere Angled Blush Brush (RM37.00, approximately USD11.40). Yes, I love blushes! That's the reason why I have more blusher brush than powder brush. Hahahaha...

Lumiere angled brush is more dense than Loving Minerals Duo Fiber Brush. The black handle looks chic with soft bristles. To my opinion, this brush is more suitable for compact blush rather than powder as it will pick up too much powder at one time. Unless you are really light handed and skillful or professional makeup artist.

Fresh Roses Powder Blush (RM43.00 for 4g full size but I only got myself a quarter teaspoon sample jar at RM7.50, approximately USD2.30)

At a glance, Fresh Roses powder blush is very similar to Ditto 'O' but Fresh Roses is more on pink with the peachy and shimmers. I suggest this is suitable for any skin tone or anyone who prefer matte blush. If you are looking for a sweet baby doll pink, NO, this is not the pink blush that you are looking for. Fresh Roses is more to the professional 'Office Lady' rather than girlish.

Dove Cleansing Foam, My Favourite Makeup Remover for Now!

Hello Ladies!!!! Long time no see !!!!!! I know I've been absent for so long because I'm so lazy... Hehehehe...

I just got back from Japan last week, things are expensive thus I can hardly lay my hands on them. Still, I've bought my longtime lemming cleansing foam from Japan !

Ta Da !!!!!! Dove Cleansing Foam !

Since the very first time I saw it in Taiwanese Beauty Show 'Queen', I'm deeply in love with this product. Weird enough, I'd heard Singapore drugstore did brought in this product but I just couldn't seems to find it anywhere. Without much thoughts, I grabbed 1 bottle with 150ml of product (980 Yen approximately RM34.30 with that particular day conversion rate) with 3 refill packs, I can't remember how many ml is in the refill but certainly is lesser than a bottle (580 Yen each, if not mistaken).

There is also a blue bottle available with the same picture but I can't read Japanese words, so I have no idea what was it all about.

Can anyone tells me why is the liquid becomes bubble foam after pumped? Is because of the pump that creates foams or some kind of chemical reacts? If I pour the refill pack into another bottle, will I spoiled the liquid and fails to create foams?

Enough questions and here are my thoughts of DOVE CLEANSING FOAM...

Advantages:
1) The foams are smooth and light, which easy to spread out.
2) It seems cleanse better than regular DHC and Shu Uemura my cleansing oil.
3) Way cheaper than DHC and Shu Uemura, it's only RM35.00 for 155ml while DHC is slightover RM100 for 200ml and Shu Uemura is RM260 for 450ml.
4) The product comes out as bubble foams thus it won't leaks between fingers or drips and cause wasting.
5) No oily, sticky or tight feeling leaves on skin
6) Easy to rinse off with no residues.
7) No fragrance or smell, at least I don't noticed any. Hehehehe...

Disadvantages:
1) Not available locally. This is what I hate most!
2) The products stings if it comes near to eyes. For this reason, I won't recommend to use this to removes eye makeup.
3) It dries fast hence if you wish to massage your face while cleansing is almost impossible.

Basically, I prefer DOVE Cleansing Foam better than any cleansing oil I had used before.

Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream SPF42, PA+++

I heard a rumor saying Missha is closing down soon... Their Singapore outlets have closed few months ago. No idea how true it is, but if this news is real. It is definitely a loss for people who likes Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in SPF 42, PA+++ and you know that person is ME!

So coincidentally, I have a friend who visited Korea recently. I'd urged him to get me 2 tubes of Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in color 21. It's cost me about RM55.00 (at that particular day of money exchange rate) for each 50ml tube. Currently, I'm still using older packaging of Missha BB Cream, which is toothpaste squeeze out style but now they have re packaging the BB cream with a pump. Personally, I prefer squeeze out style because I can squeeze out every single bits left inside the tube. Yes, I am thrifty! Hahahaha... With the pump design, once the product getting lesser in tube, the pumping will become difficult. At the end of the day, you will find there are more product than you can imagine inside the tube but can't get them out at all. Unless you cut the tube into half with the risk of drying out too fast.

My initial thought of purchasing Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream was because it is the only BB Cream has SPF42, PA+++. Other available BB Creams are at most SPF30, which I don't usually use. My first tube of Missha BB Cream was purchased at Ikano Power, Missha's kiosk at RM69.90 for only 30ml. I like how natural look it is once it set into my skin and my skin has the healthy glow looks from within. Usually, I don't use liquid foundation at all because I have no idea how to spread the liquid foundation evenly. It always became patchy and uneven when I'm using liquid foundation. With Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream, I have the skin with perfect coverage like a liquid foundation and double it up, I can use it as a concealer. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream is build able, spread just a little bit on face if you prefer light coverage (light means flawless skin but you won't be able to tell is there any foundation or bb cream exists) and more if you like to have a foundation like full coverage. It works like a miracle to me.

I gave a sample pack of Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in color 23 to a friend as color 23 is a tad dark for my skin. My friend has extremely sensitive skin but she was immediately falling in love with this BB Cream. She has tried a lot of BB Creams but never found something color matched to her skin. Color 23 surprisingly is the perfect match for her and be able to fully covered her large pores. She's so pleased and bought her 1st tube of Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in Ikano Power too. When i broke the news that Missha might be closing down to her, she said she just have to grab more Missha's products before it's too late... Hahahahaha...

The texture of Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream is thick and creamy. Although, it's thick and creamy but it also spreads like a butter. I do not need a lot of product to achieve a full coverage. Be reminded, do not take too much product at one go as it will somehow become too thick to spread evenly. A soy bean size is all I need for a light to nothing flawless skin. The color out from the tube may seems darker than your skin but not to worry. Once the cream is set into your skin, it will be invisible on you skin unless you top up for full coverage. In normal days, I would just spread the BB Cream evenly and dust my favourite Guerlain Meteorites Powder For Face in 01 Mythic. I don't even need to apply any highlighter. If you are particular on scents, then you may not be happy with this BB Cream. It has a light scent of baby powder but it doesn't bother me that much as the scent goes away pretty fast. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream dries faster compared to my sunscreen. I'm using it more as a sunscreen than foundation. Personally, I think Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream gives me better looking skin and coverage than liquid or powder foundation. The only thing about wearing BB Cream is to make sure you wash your face thoroughly. BB cream is so much stronger and long lasting than any foundations, at least I know Missha is. Do invest in a good makeup remover.

Strong Indonesia Quake

Recently, I'm becoming much diligent blogger. Hahaha... Today, I'm going to review Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Waterlight Lotion SPF50 PA+++. What a mouthful name, I shall call it Waterlight Lotion.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Waterlight Lotion SPF50 PA+++

As you may know, I'm in love with my Guerlain sunblock but it turns out horribly when I'm using together with Maybelline's AngelFit Liquid Foundation. All I get is dead pale, white cast and greasy skin. No, the white cast just stay put whole day long... Pretty long lasting white cast, huh? I don't need that kind of long lasting. My skin isn't oily at all but it looks that way when both items combined. Hence, I thought why not I get myself another inexpensive sunblock solely for AngelFit Liquid Foundation.

Most sunblock gives me thick, creamy, hard to spread out and whitish texture, which I'm trying to avoid when it needs to be using together with AngelFit Liquid Foundation. I'd been looking for this sunblock for quite sometime as Sir Niu Er has introduced this product in famous Taiwanese show 'Queen'. Sir Niu Er also imparted a set of formula on How much Sunblock Do We Really Need to Apply on Face. He spreads a huge amount of WaterLight Lotion on Song Xin Ni's face but it doesn't seems greasy and no white cast at all!.

WaterLight Lotion's texture is light and easy to spread but be careful not to massage your skin for too long. Continues massage or even patting your face alone may cause peeling bits on your skin. Dried lotion will become flakes and messed up the whole face as its kind of difficult to brush off. The feeling is like when we are using peeling gel to cleanse our face, dirt's will stick on the gel and becomes blackish bits dropping everywhere. My normal routine is massage WaterLight Lotion until half dry and leave it to fully air dry before applying liquid foundation. This sunblock has a weird smell, is like children school shoes liquid white chalk smell. For western countries readers may not understand what is white chalk for children school shoes. The smell is not strong and before you're realized, it's gone. Just a reminder for those interested but cares about any scented products.

With Helioplex added, it should be works like an invisible shield, effectively blocking out harmful UVA / UVB rays and neutralise free radical damages. I have no idea how much can Helioplex helps in against dark and premature skin but it does sounds great... Hahahaha...

After application, my skin has the healthy glows but not oily and the best part is WaterLight Lotion dries fast. I must say WaterLight Lotion dries up much faster than Guerlain sunblock but still Guerlain can act like a primer as I've noticed Guerlain sunblock also helping me to smooth out my skin with pretty glows. I can just wearing Guerlain sunblock without any foundation but not with WaterLight Lotion. With WaterLight Lotion, I don't need to wait for the sunblock to be fully dries up before applying powder products. No more patchy, uneven and vampire face! Wooo Hooo!!!

Be careful not to use WaterLight Lotion near the eye area. I'd experiences sting and burn feeling when the product applied near my eyes. I can't open my eyes and tears just keep on flowing, it's so hurt. I don't have product gets into my eyes, just somewhere near thus I suspect WaterLight Lotion is too strong to be apply around sensitive area. The packaging written for all skin type and my skin seems to love it. The price is slight more expensive than normal SPF50 PA+++ sunblock, if not mistaken is RM46 or something. I've bought mine during Guardian sale at around RM39+ and that was one of the first batch goods arrived in Malaysia. There are 2 types of Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Complete UV Lotion SPF50 PA+++, one is the WaterLight Lotion and the other one is thicker texture but I can't remember is cream or slightly thicker lotion type. Read carefully and choose the one suitable for your skin or else you may get the wrong product.

Online Shopping Cultural

After reading a blogger recent bad experience with local blog-shop, it reminds me of a friend got cheated twice with his online purchases from local forum. This is the reason why I don't like to do my shopping online. I find it very insecure and annoying when items arrived wrongly or worst still, when they never arrives, which happening all the times in Malaysia.

I'm pretty sure there are 'miscommunication and misunderstand' happening everywhere, not only in Malaysia but once the problems have been rectify, it should not be a problem. Of course, I understand there are some very special customers will have some special requirements. For an instance, requires seller to provide them different sizes in each pair of shoes as the interested buyer might has serious different foot sizes problem between own feet, but I don't think most seller will allow that as the reason is pretty obvious. Also, only few of us will ask for that, isn't it? Well, at least I don't. Hehehehe...

Seriously, I doubt that 36 for the right foot & 37 for the left foot blogger would asked for this weird combination when she confirmed her shoes order, right? Hahaha... Or the seller already predicted that her buyer will fits into sizes 36 on her right foot and 37 on her left foot when buyer actually ordered a pair of size 37 shoes? Apparently, the buyer never had any problem in fitting her right foot into size 37. Just joking, no hard feeling please... Hehehe...

I've heard many times, sellers mixed up different customers' items together and send to the wrong customers. I think this is pretty normal, as most of the blog-shops are individual owns without huge manpower. It's still acceptable as long as the seller sincerely willing to replaces / exchanges the original ordered items to buyer without any additional costing because it's not buyer's fault to received wrong package, normally things will be in peace. After all, buyers just want to get their ordered items intact and seller wishes to do their business in harmony. At least, be responsible for your own wrongdoing.

It's pretty upset to hear that there's a blog-shop owner stood up customer's appointment when the seller supposed to exchange the wrong sent item with customer. Even worse, the seller ignored every calls, emails and smses that sent by customers while still running the blog-shop as usual.

It's pretty normal for an unsatisfied customer to lodge complains yet no one is entertaining the problems to be annoyed and frustrated. As a business owner / seller, should addresses customers' concerns and do their best to fulfills them not to ignores them. If customers' requirements are too much to handle, then explain politely in a nicer way to customers.

We've heard many stories from shopping online. More on bad experiences? They might be just the tip of the iceberg in our society. I'm still strongly believe, there are still many nice and kind online sellers out there. Negatives stories definitely will kill a lot desires when comes to online shopping but definitely worth to read and learn one or two from them. Nobody loves to be cheated, as a consumer we have to protect and know our own rights. If the seller charges and given you the spoilt, expired, wrong item or something not from your order form (unless they are freebies) make sure the seller understand he/she is responsible to exchange or replace it. Even if it's only a cheap or small item, we should not allow this kind of things happens, otherwise the situation will be getting worse. We ought to stand out, voice out and let these people understand the facts. Do not making use some kindness or timidness to earn extra advantages. It's so wrong!

Wow, this foundation sounds good too but I did received some users found Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation gives them dry feeling. Revlon Colorstay 12 Hour Eyeshadow Palette

I broke my shopping ban again! This time, I chose it, my boyfriend paid it... Hahaha... It's not extremely expensive makeup item, hence he don't mind to buy it for me. In addition, this is a gift from him as he left me alone at home while he went to Kuala Lumpur with his friends during the long weekend.

Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eyeshadow in Nude Elements 322.

Initially, I did not give any noticed to this eyeshadow palette as it has nothing special and just a normal brown eyeshadow. Last week, while I was passing by Parkson and saw Revlon putting these palette on 10% sale. Out of curiosity, I went up and did some swatches. To my surprise, the texture is soft yet not so powdery. It's a matte color palette so if you are looking for shimmery palette then don't go for this. Unlike most drugstore brands, Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eyeshadow is smooth and color payoff quite well. Palette comes with a white color, light brown, dark brown and gray. I do find white color a little bit chalky but not on other 3 colors. I uses white as a base and highlighter, dark brown on upper lids and gray on outer lids. Lastly, I uses light brown to apply on crease and blends out the harsh line between dark brown and gray.

If you are looking for some sultry and smokey brown palette, then this may not be suitable for you. This is a light and subtle eyeshadow palette, which suitable for Office Ladies or if you prefer something tone down. If you really wish to turn this soft brown palette into a great smokey eyes, maybe you will need to use a stronger base color for example using MAC Paint 'Bamboom' or Paint Pot 'Quite Natural'. I bought this palette not because of its colors are special. Rather because I need a brown palette, which is not so expensive but suitable for everyday use. I love my Dior 5 Color Iridescent Eyeshadow palette and initially I thought Revlon ColorStay and Dior 5 Color is almost similar. After some swatches and EOTD, I found that they are totally different. Dior 5 Color Iridescent Eyeshadow palette still my favourite palette...

The original price is RM46.00 but I bought it with 20% off and I only paid RM36.80. If I'm not mistaken there are 18 shades available but I don't think every single shades have been brought into Malaysia. As a drugstore brand and price, personally I found this palette is not bad but still cannot compare with my favourite Dior, MAC and Stila eyeshadow. Too bad, Stila has pulled out from Malaysia and I don't see them in Singapore too. Is Stila available in Singapore ?

Not to worry if you are interested in this palette as our Watsons and Guardian always having great sale. If you missed out this National Day sale, I'm sure within next 2 months there will be another sale coming soon.

Yesterday Damages

Yesterday, I did some damages again... I must stop myself from buying makeups! I can't let my money keep on flowing out! Hahaha...

I saw this new L'oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara advertisement on TV by Eva Longoria and it was amazingly nice. Passed by L'oreal counter yesterday at Parkson, saw the mascara and I can't help to get one especially after seeing how pretty lashes on L'oreal SA and she said it was this new mascara on her. Now, they come in a package which including a Washable Extra Volume Collagen Mascara in black, Gentle Eye & Lip Makeup Remover and a heated curler at RM69.90. I think I must be a shopaholic, without thinking twice, I grabbed the mascara and proceed to the cashier.

I've tried this mascara today. The texture is soft and smooth but the wand is too big for my eye shape. This resulted I got mascara all over my upper lids and a little bit on under eye. One good thing about this mascara is easy to remove unlike Majolica Majorca. My lashes look natural and soft after one coat and a second coat doesn't clump at all. Normally, I won't apply mascara more than 2 coats as a lot of mascaras will give me clumps and spider lashes especially the Maybelline Cat Eyes. The best thing about it's big wand is, it's really separates my lashes one by one although I did not noticed any Extra Volume. I wonder why it called Extra Volume Collagen. I supposed is the collagen makes this mascara feeling so soft. Maybe it needs a few more coats to bring out the extra volume. In short, I don't extremely love it but also don't hate it. It gives me a Lancome mascara kind of feel. Hahaha...

This is the Eye & Lip makeup remover that raving by a few bloggers. Never tried it but hopefully it will turns out good.

In fact, I also bought In2It's eyeshadow pencil in Pewter & Black and an eyeliner pencil in Brown from Parkson too. It seems like I can't find any In2It website anywhere. According to the packaging, both eyeshadow pencil and liner are made in Germany. The testers of eyeshadow pencil were different from actual product. The testers were in normal eyeshadow palette shape in square and creamier but the actual product is in pencil with sponge applicator dip into the powder screw cap. It's something similar to KATE's eye color pencil. It's RM19.90 with 2 ends of different colors. Pewter is silvering gray and Black is obvious a black eyeshadow color. I find it's easier to apply when the sponge applicator direct to skin but this will bring out too much powder and uneven color. Difficult to get out the powder using brush.

In2It, eyeliner pencil in brown is 1.2gram, which is the standard size of pencil liner. The texture is similar to MUFE Aqua Eyes but without the fall out. I hate MUFE always make a mess with the falls out on my face and have to sharpen it each time after use to maintain it's sharpness. MUFE Aqua Eyes really finish fast! In2It's pencil liner comes with a sharpener and cleaning stick and it's only RM24.90 comparing to RM76.00 MUFE. Personally, I find In2It's eyeliner doesn't smudge and soft on lids. It's quite long lasting too although the brown is not really that 'brown' if you get what I mean but I'll believe the color is build able with a few more strokes. I would rather to buy In2It since the texture is similar with MUFE. Since MUFE is not available in my area, rather inconvenient for me to re purchase it too.

I also have Silkygirl's Long Wearing Pencil Liner, which I bought few months earlier. The reason I bought it, is because as I need to travel extensively for my job and I don't wish to bring a sharpener with me all around.

If I'm not mistaken, Silkygirl Automatic Pencil Liner is RM14.90. The texture is rough, the color is bad, never noticed any long wearing effect and needed I say more?

Still, my favourite pencil liner is Guerlain Kohl Pencil Liner in Noir, which is selling at RM70.00 in 2gram and yes, it's longer than usual pencil liner.This definitely is my all time favourite... Oh yes, it comes with it's own sharpener too.

Last Friday was my birthday and I went to Singapore for a day shopping trip! Kekeke... I'm not a shopaholic, at least not on fashion but definitely a makeup addict! Hahaha... Initial thought was to visit the new ION Orchard. The moment I stepped in, SEPHORA ! I saw SEPHORA! I can't wait any longer and dashed into the shop. Hahaha... Nothing much impresses me other than Too Faced and Bare Escentuals products. I was eyeing on Urban Decay Prime Potion for very long time but they don't ship internationally, thus when I saw Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer in Sephora, I knew I have to get it. Too bad, ION Orchard's SA told me they are running out of stocks but might be available in Ngee Ann City branch. I walked all the way to Ngee Ann City, just for Too Faced Shadow Insurance. It's SGD28.00 / approximately RM68.00 / USD19.00, is that expensive? I have no idea what is the pricing outside Singapore and Malaysia.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer

I'm quite satisfied with Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer as it's not oily and smooth out easily on my lids. In fact, I don't feel much on my upper lids but I can tell much differences on undereye area. Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer allows smoother and more even concealer application. No uneven patches or lines at undereye area.

Another thing that I've picked up as a birthday gift for myself is the Beaute De Kose Multi Reflection Colors in 001 Strawberry Ice from last year Summer collection. Yes, I know I'm slow. Now is already year 2009 yet I'm still getting a 2008 product but I love the dual purpose palette, which is an eye & cheek color palette. My initial plan was getting either Dior's Jazz Club Collection in Smoky Jazz 001 or Shiseido Maquillage Eyes Creator 3D. After a few swatches, I don't find myself interested much in both of them.

It cost me RM150.00! I have no idea what was in my mind that time! Why would I spent RM150.00 for a 2008 Summer product? I'm started regretting heavily but there's no return policy in Malaysia, thus I can't return it to the counter. Shiseido Maquillage Cheek Color is only selling at RM85.00, with casing is RM120.00. Still much cheaper than Beaute de Kose, somemore newer collection. Although Shideiso Maquillage is only a cheek color but I supposed it can also be using as eye color, doesn't it ?

The quality of Multi Reflection Colors is smooth but never use an eyeshadow brush to pick up the powder. As eyeshadow, I like how subtle yet pigmented. The lilac and pink is similar to Kanebo Coffret D'or 02. The texture is soft, shimmery but not overpower and powdery, that's is why I said never pick up the powder using eyeshadow brush as the powder will fly all over the place.

As cheek color, I'm quite impressed with the highlighting effects. This palette immediately brighten up my cheek and brings out a little bit of girly blush on my skin. Today, I'd swirled all 4 colors together for my cheek color. I've found it quite natural and looks like I have the glow from within my skin. I'll try again tomorrow, use only 2 or 3 colors only as normal blush without highlighting effect and see what'll happen.

I know I'm sound contradiction because I said I'm heavily regretting for purchasing it yet raving about it in the later. Hahaha... Beaute de Kose Multi Reflection Colors indeed is a nice and subtle eye and cheek colors palette but for RM150.00, definitely not a good price. Personally, I will prefer to use it as highlighter and blusher as it gives me nice glowy girilish look but on eyeshadows part, it just so-so and nothing much special. If you own this palette too, please give me some ideas how to make it more useful for me. Hahaha... There goes my RM150.00.

This is a nice bracelet. The color is matching with my skintone, which doesn't seems abrupt when you see a rough girl like me wearing it. I like the little flowers on the beads, feel gentle , feminine and girl next door kind of feel. Jamilla has carefully packed this bracelet in a cute golden square box. Thanks again, I can't stop loving it! Sorry for my ugly hand... Hahaha... Just put your full concentration on this beautiful bracelet. Haha...

This is something that I left out to mentioned in yesterday post. Dior's 2 Couleurs eyeshadow in Cocktail Look. It's a purplish grey and light pink, which I think is sweet and lovely. Never did swatches, thus I can't tell you how's the color payoff and texture's like. I would love to have it but I don't wear pink as it makes my eyes look swollen. Hahaha...

To buy or Not to buy ?

Dior is always one of my favorite cosmetics brand especially with their Iridescent eye palette. I've learnt that Dior's New Fall Collection has released and my most trusted Jojoba's has did her reviews on latest Dior's Jazz Club Collection. It's really testing my patience and curiousity to its limit! Hahaha... Recently, I'd spotted their New Fall Jazz Club Collection available at my local Dior counters! How exciting!

After seeing the real palettes and knowing the prices. To be frank, it makes me think twice before reaching my hands to these beautiful palettes.

Purple Jazz 002

Smoky Jazz 001

I've read a lot reviews on Dior's New Fall Collection on Purple Jazz 002 but not even one on Smoky Jazz 001. No idea why, but I tend to prefer Smoky Jazz than Purple Jazz. The reason is, personally I don't think I can make purple looks good on me. Purple always ended up looks dirty and messy on me. Indeed, Purple Jazz 002 brings more surprises than Smoky Jazz 001, as there's nothing special on 001. The biggest surprise is the price. Each Jazz palette cost RM210.00! Not cheap ! I never thought it will be so expensive as Irisdecent is only RM186.00.

173 Night Butterfly

This palette looks so nice but when SA did swatches between it's deepest plum purple and Purple Jazz 002 deepest fard matte eyeshadow. Night Butterfly's plum color seems to be dirty and reddish for my liking. Well, this palette is RM189.00.

Should I get myself Smoky Jazz 001 or Purple Jazz 002? With the high price of RM210.00, do you think it's worthy ? I'd already owned a smoky palette, should I further splurge on this Smoky Jazz 001 ?

Shadows from mascara ?

Anyone out there having the same problem as me ? Which is the mascara always creates shadow underneath my lower outer eye area. Initially, I was thought it's the transfer from eyeliner but recently I've found that my eyeliner is unreachable to that area and the only possibility is mascara ! How could it be ? From the transfer patch, it could not be transfer during wet mascara, otherwise it should be a series of lines with mascara. It's a whole patch, some sort like eyeshadow powder fall on under eye area but way too low for undereye makeup. These shadows make my face looks dirty and ugly sighting of dark lines.

Initially, I don't have any intention to buy any brow pencil as I never use them. Hahaha... One day, I went for free make up class with a friend of mine and learn how to shape and apply eyebrow liner. My eyebrows are natural thick thus I don't see the needs of making it more obvious. When I've look back into those photos we took after the makeup lesson, to my surprised it looks better when my eyebrows have filled.

The reason I buy this brown brow liner is because it is the cheapest and attached a brow brush to it's cap too! Hahaha... I wanted to get a brow pencil from Empro Triangular Eyebrow Pencil but it's out of stock and expensive at RM38.88 / USD11.00. Maybelline's Unstoppable Natural Brow Liner is only RM18.90 and having another 10% discount.

I like the nice soft nip, the color payoff is just nice and look natural. The only setback, is not long lasting enough.

Please allow me to do a small review on a mascara that I'd bought few months ago. Maybelline's Volum' Express Cat Eyes Mascara.

This is totally a crap! I got nothing to say about this mascara other than,

It smells weird... like some sort of ink or chemical. Definitely not from long due mascara as I bought this mascara during it's launching. It's fresh ! Hahaha...
It clumps like no other. Need I to say more ?
It smudges too. No idea how and why...
Only one coat, it's all you need to get spider eyes instead of CAT EYES ! Where's the cat !? I hate being a spider.
It's Volum's Express and Hypercurl formula. I never see any volume or curl effects on this mascara at all. Crappy.

Whatever you don't need in a mascara, Maybelline's Volum' Express Cat Eyes has it. I really hate this smelly mascara. I bought this mascara at RM33.90 / USD10.00, not worth it at all.

Maybelline Hauls: 1) Maybelline's ANGELFIT Liquid Foundation

I've been eyeing on this liquid foundation for the longest time. First was the short advertisement from Taiwan, which Maybelline found Sato Mai (the winner from Super Sunday Girl many years ago) to test their AngelFit Liquid Foundation. After the application of AngelFit Liquid Foundation on her hand, the host put Sato Mai's hand into a big bowl of chemical poly foams but none of the foams stick on her hand! This action shows how light, smooth, non greasy and non stickiness formula in this foundation. I was sold after I'd watched the advertisement.

According to Maybelline's website, the pink pearls technology allows AngelFit Liquid Foundation to self adjusted the color in order to match with your skin and lighting. With Chamomile and Vitamin E, skin remains hydrate and supply yet smooth, light as feather and free from stickiness. Another important part is, Maybelline claims that no matter how many layers you have applied on your skin, it will remains light and smooth.

The truth is, AngelFit indeed is light, fast to dry and non sticky at all. Unlike other liquid foundations that I'd tried, even the infamous Lunasol Water Cream foundation does leave me sticky feeling and takes time to dries up. AngelFit Liquid Foundation comes with a little pink bottle with pump at 25ml. The texture is watery, this makes application easier as it glides easily without being cakey especially good for a rookie in liquid foundation like me. Although it dries fast but still leave me enough time to spread out the foundation evenly. The foundation is build able and still feeling smooth and light after a few layers on skin. All I can say is a little bit goes a very very long way for AngelFit Liquid Foundation.

Everything seems just nice until I've realised none of the available colors matching with my skin tone! Every AngelFit Liquid Foundation seems to be more on pinkish tone. I did swatches before buying the foundation. At the end, I'd settle with Natural Ivory as I thought it was only a slight pinkish, it won't hurt, after all it still match my skin when other colors are too dark. Who knows, when I put it on yesterday and found it's extremely pink and too grayish pale for my skin. I was totally look like a Geisha, even my boyfriend has notices my vampired pale looking but became a cooked lobster after sitting under the sun for a while. I didn't even wore any blushers yesterday. I thought it might because the foundation hasn't set in but for many hours, it still too pinkish pale for my skin. What a disappointment.

Not satisfied with the result, I was determined to try it again this morning. This time I only put on a tiny little bit because one pump of the foundation is way too much for my face. A tiny bean size is all I need this time. Carefully, not to overly done but the foundation is still too pink although this time the color payoff is no longer that pale. I guess my skintone is way too yellow thus everyone can notices a huge differences between my face and neck. Not the foundation's fault, is mine... I shouldn't buy something so pinkish. Basically, if this foundation can match my skintone perfectly, I would love it very much. Too bad, it doesn't. The retail price is RM39.90 / USD11.30 with additional 20% discount from local drugstore sale.

Angelfit Liquid Foundation is only available in Asia. That means this product is Asia Exclusive but don't we as Asian mostly have yellow undertone skin? Why would Maybelline comes out with something so pinkish for Asian? Or maybe I'm the odd one out. Hahaha...

Shu Uemura Protection XTR Protector Sunscreen Milk SPF50 PA+++ Vs Guerlain Perfect White C Brightening High Protection SPF50 PA+++

It's been a really long time since my last post... Hahahaha... No idea why, I'm always feeling lazy and not in mood to do reviews or hauls posting. Anyway, I'm not doing much purchasing recently. Tight finance ! Hahahaha... But I'm still reading a lot from bloggers everyday! I'm still diligent to know more on skincare and makeups... Hehehehe...

If you can remember, I did some damages few months ago in Kuala Lumpur. Today, finally I'd finished up my Shu Uemura's SPF 50, PA+++

I was using this Shu Uemura Protection XTR Protector Sunscreen Milk SPF50 PA+++ for more than a year. Yes, the same tube of sunscreen and I can't seems to finish it until today! If I'm not mistaken, I bought this tube of sunscreen at RM160.00 / USD45.00. I find it terribly expensive and I must be crazy at that point of time to purchased it. The texture is more on white color cream to runny, no white cast if you use a little bit. The problem is, from what I've learnt from 'QUEEN', the popular Taiwanese beauty show, I would need at least 0.7 gram of sunscreen to be applied on my skin before stepping outdoor. How do I get the figure of 0.7 gram ? Here is the formula and calculate how much sunscreen do we need to apply on face:

Step 1: Get a ruler or measurement tape to measure the length and width of your face. EG.
mine is 19cm (length- top from forehead to bottom of chin) X 18cm (width -
measure from the widest part of your face, left to right) and my answer is 342.

Step 2: Use 342cm X 2 gram
342 X 0.002 - 0.68 gram

Finally, 0.68 gram is the amount of sunscreen that I need to apply on my face but this is only a rough estimation, if you are using a normal hard ruler like me to do the measurement. This is because, with hard ruler we can hardly do the measurement for the nose area. Thus, I would recommended you to use a soft measurement tape. It should be more accurate than normal ruler as you can include the size of your nose. For me, application of sunscreen always more is better than less.

I would say 0.7 gram of sunscreen is a lot but with a good quality of sunscreen, it should not be any problem. Shu Uemura's doesn't do the job that well. Although the Shu Uemura Protection XTR Protector Sunscreen Milk SPF50 PA+++ (what a mouthful name!) gives me the glow and hydrates my skin that I'm quite pleased but with 0.7 gram of Shu Uemura sunscreen milk on my face, no good feeling at all. It's oily, sticky and slow in terms of absorbent. I had to let it air dry for at least 45 minutes or so, before I can put on my powder foundation or else, it'll become cakey, patchy, uneven and blotch. No kidding ! The truth is, I don't have 45 minutes and I hate that kind of feeling especially when I'm in rush hours...

Finally, I'd finished up my Shu Uemura Protection XTR Protector Sunscreen Milk SPF50 PA+++ and today I'm using my new Guerlain Perfect White C Brightening High Protection SPF50 PA+++ (another mouthful name, hahaha).

I've bought this many months ago, and I can't remember what was the texture and how does it goes. I always have good acquaintances with Guerlain hence I'm believe this sunscreen won't disappoint me too. The texture is similar with Shu Uemura Protection XTR Protector Sunscreen Milk SPF50 PA+++, also white in color but runnier. It's so smooth and easy to glide on skin. No tugging and oily feeling at all. Although it looks a bit grey and white cast during the application but it dissappeared before I realised the changes. All I can see is my skin is smoother without much visible pores, glow and dewy but not oily. I never know this sunscreen can hide pores, after application I'd feel it barely there! Guerlain Perfect White C Brightening High Protection SPF50 PA+++ does absorb into my skin pretty fast and I'm so touched during my foundation application. The reason ? Not only it's fast absorbent reduced my waiting time, also allows me have easier foundation and powders application. I've noticed that I don't need much foundation as before, no idea why. My guessing would be my skin is smoother after applied the Guerlain sunscreen hence I don't feel like to put on so much powder on my skin. I think my skin would love not to have so much makeup on. Hahaha... The best thing is it's a perspiration resistant sunscreen! I love perspiration resistant products as my job requires me to run whole day around under the sun. Personally, I feel my purchase on Guerlain Perfect White C Brightening High Protection SPF50 PA+++ is highly worth it.

My only complain about Guerlain is they had closed their counter at my local malls. I can only get my supplies from Kuala Lumpur. If I'm not mistaken, the original price for Guerlain Perfect White C Brightening High Protection SPF50 PA+++ is RM 190.00 / USD 54.00 for 30ml.

~H2O+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment

I've been hearing and seeing a lot of advertisements and raves on this particular brand, ~H2O+ but I'd never take a good look at their products. Until recently, they have open a new outlet at my local AEON JUSCO. Out of curiosity, I'd stepped in for the very first time after I've got back from Korea. ~H2O+ was having a promotion, which bring one bottle / jar of your used moisturizer and you are entitled to buy their infamous Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment Moisturiser at 50% off from the original price RM159.00 / USD 45.00. I was tempted but neither I have any used moisturizer's jar nor money to buy anything as I just got back from Korea that time. Thus, I'd just passed it.

This product claims to be a moisture intensive gel that hydrates the skin while firming and diminishing the appearances of fine lines. To be frank, I don't really like this gel moisturizer at all. The initial thought of purchased it was to minimise my pores. As I'd found that as long as I cleanse my face throughly and allow my skin to be hydrates, pores will be less visible. I'm very happy with 'The Odbo' Aqua Smooth Essence that I've bought in Korea but it's only available in Korea too. Hence, I'm eager to find a substitute for it and thought why not give it a try on ~H2O+ since Jojoba was raving about it. Just looking at her glowy and supple skin, makes me so much envious. I like to read about her reviews, she's so funny and has very detailed inputs to her reviews. Most important thing is, she's also living in Malaysia. The weather, the environment and accessibility of the products are easier from her reviews. Back to the gel, I have dry but sensitive skin. Just like Jojoba mentioned, the gel feels bouncy to the touch and light weight on skin but it leaves me with some kind of stickiness, no matter how little I had it on my skin. After a few tries, I'd given up using it during day time as the gel resulted my powder foundation to blotch, uneven and patchy. I know I should wait a little bit longer for the moisturizer to fully absorb before puffing up the powder but I'm always on hurry in the morning. Hahaha... Compared between ~H2o+ to The Odbo Aqua Smooth Essence, The Odbo absorbs almost instantly yet hydrates my skin perfectly and the price is only half of ~H2o+.

Personally, I don't find ~H2o+ hydrates my skin in any manners. This doesn't mean that the gel is useless, maybe it just not enough moisture for my dry skin. Still, ~H2o+ Face Oasis Hydrating Treatment is nothing any cheaper than my regular moisturizer, I will finish it up for that reason. I don't think I will repurchase this product unless it gives me better results.

How do you prevent tucked in blouses from coming out from pants or skirts?

I always wondering how girls tuck in their blouse or shirt into pants or skirts without it coming out on your next body movement? This really bothering me a lot as I always love to see office ladies wearing smart yet chic clothes. Every time when I'm trying my best effort to tuck in my blouse or shirts into long pants or my favorite pencil skirts, the same thing will happened again. Eventually, I'd gave up and just letting my blouse or shirts out like an unfashionable office lady. Not because my shirt is too short to tuck in, not because my pants or skirts are too loose but it always comes out when I do a movement. No matter standing up, move my arms, turn my back and what ever it is, my blouse just never stay inside. Is there any tricks for my blouse to stay inside and tuck into my pants or skirts but not moving out together with my movement? Double sided tape is out of question because it restricted my movement.

These blouses are similar pattern but I find them quite pretty and versatile for OL. Don't you think so ?
This blouse looks so comfy... I like it... The prices are pretty reasonable... If not mistaken, this blouse is only NT320.00 / approximately USD10 ! Of course, the price is excluding shipping cost.

Back from Korea !

Hello Ladies... I'm back from Korea ! It's a nice trip but I didn't managed to buy any clothes or shoes from Korea. It's so expensive compared to Malaysia, although the designs and quality is good even for the roadside stalls. The only thing I'd bought is face sheet masks because it's cheap. After conversion, is only RM 2.90 per piece, which is selling at RM 4.90 in Malaysia. I'll update my hauls with photos real soon. My boyfriend don't allows me to buy duty free cosmetics as I've burst my own wallet on buying ginseng for my parent. After come to think about it, I'm finding myself a bit stupid. Why should I listened to him ? I bought the ginseng using my own money, not his ! Hahaha... My only regret is I couldn't find L'egere in Korea. I thought L'egere is a Korean brand but I just couldn't find it. I've asked a few people but none of them ever heard about this brand. Weird, huh ? At the end, I didn't get any BB Cream from Korea.

I think I'd forgot to mentioned in earlier post. This 'Loving Sample Kit' has this optional item on Baby Kabuki brush, which they named it Baby Buki for only RM30.00 (Original Price is RM37.00). I thought a Kabuki brush will be great for mineral foundations hence I've ordered one but I never know the Baby Buki will be that small in size. Hahaha... The Baby Buki brush is only 1 & 3/4 inches tall, the synthetic hairs measure at 1 inch long and 7/8 inch in diameter across. Use your imagination or ruler to measure how tiny it is. Look at the photo below, the Baby Buki is only slightly big than my 3 grams sample jars.

Along with the Loving Sample Kit, which including 3 types of foundation, 1 blusher or all radiances and 1 finishing powder, all in sample sizes with additional option item, a baby buki brush. I've also ordered a set of 10 samples eyeshadow. They are in loose powder, just like the pigments from MAC. Did I ever mentioned that I'm absolutely love pigments ? Hahaha...

I bought this set of 10 sample size of eyeshadow at RM60.00. I don't find it cheap because I can always get MAC sample pigments for that kind of price too. I'll get 1/4 tsp from MAC and each Lumiere loose powder eyeshadow sample is only 1/8 tsp in 3 grams top screw jar. The full size is 2 grams in 10 grams jar, selling at RM25.00 / approximately USD7.00 each.

Dulce de Leche - When I saw this on real, I thought it's a blusher. It's a warm peach with a hint of copper and golden sparkles.
Pink Pearl - A nice soft cotton candy pink with a hint of blue opalescence, I've tried this on Friday. The texture is finely milled and soft on lids, even softer than MAC pigments.
Divine - A royal purple with low sheen. The color payoff is not as dark as the color seen from the jar.
Amber - I'm start liking amber color after I'd purchased a lip gloss named Amber from Anna Sui. It is a shimmery golden brown with a hint of copper. Initially, I was a bit afraid it will be the exact same color as my MAC Copperclast but when I got them in compared, they are totally different. Amber is more on golden brown while Copperclast is more on golden copper, slightly darker than Amber.
Sublime - This is a neutral brown with a hint of plum. I do find this color is a bit similar with Copperclast. Have not try it yet so I can't really tell what's the differences from the jar.
Silver Shimmer - I always wanted to get a silver eyeshadow but just couldn't get the right color. I thought Silver Shimmer will be slightly more on metallic as seen from the photo but it's not. It's all pretty silvery gray with a little bit on blue (at least I feel so) but when I put it on my lids, it looks silvery white. I like this silver color... It won't feel heavy yet bring out the couture. Same as the Pink Pearl, the texture is smooth and soft.
Wicked - This is a plum color. Seriously, I don't need any plum color eyeshadow anymore. I have more than enough on Plum. Hahaha... I've found this color is pretty much similar with my Anna Sui Eye Color Accent in 01, Purple. Edit: I'm using Wicked today and I've found the color is EXACTLY the same as Anna Sui Eye Color Accent in 01.
Moondance - This is a bit tough, blackish blue with a hint of turquoise sparkles. I like this color and hope it'll turns out well. It looks similar with Deep Forest Green but when you see carefully, it's actually different.
Deep Forest Green - According to website, it's a deep emerald green with black undertone. It's totally the same thing as MAC Teal, only not as bright as Teal when you apply it by foiling. I should have get myself the Cat's Eye instead of Deep Forest Green since I'd already have Teal by MAC.
Graphite - I like this one, is a steel gray with a hint of blue. Use it with silver shimmer for a gorgeous smokey eyes.

Based on what I have tried, personally I like Lumiere loose powder eyeshadow. They are finely milled and soft. I think they are quite long lasting too. I like their loose powder eyeshadow but they don't really offer many colors unlike MAC pigments. I have most of the colors available in LovingMinerals.com. Hope they can bring in more beautiful and high quality cosmetic products. I'll definitely go back for more! Hahaha...

Parcel Arrived ! Part 2: Blusher & Finishing Powders

Initially, I was a bit in dilemma should I choose a blusher or All Over Radiances? When I browse through every single colors in cheek and all over radiances, I found this ! Ditto 'O' is similar to NARS Orgasm! How I can let it slip out from my fingers!? After hearing so many great reviews on NARS Orgasm, I just want to have it!

I'm wearing it today. This is my first time using loose powder blusher, thus I have no idea how much should I be using. I'd put it on little by little and the color came out similar to my PUPA Baked Blush. In fact, I've never seen NARS Orgasm in real thing, so I also don't know how it looks like. Still, I'm pretty like this color but don't be heavy handed since the color is quite intense.

When comes to selecting Finishing Powder, I also caught in dilemma because I want to try on both Flawless Finish and Pure Silk. At the end, I'd chose Flawless Sand just because the description wrote it's suitable for dry / combination skin. I'm using this finishing powder today, not seeing any special effects but I think is because I'm using it with very little light hand. I'll try it again some other days.

After I have selected and placed my order with Lovingminerals.com. I went to mywomenstuff.com, ParisB raved about the Sand Silk Finishing Powder and I know I have to get this if the Flawless Finish in Sand didn't give me any problem. According to the website, this Pure Silk in Sand Finishing Powder is made from real silk powder. Sounds tempting...

Parcel Arrived ! Part 1: Foundations

Today is a happy day because I've received my mineral makeups parcel from Lovingminerals.com. I'd placed my order on Monday night, made my payment on Tuesday afternoon and 'TA DA!' my parcel is here today on Thursday ! Isn't it great ? This is the main reason why I like to e-purchase from local sellers. Fast delivery!

I had bad experiences with so called mineral foundation thus I'm a bit worry and hesitate when I saw Lovingminerals.com many many months ago. I've been browsing the site for several months, looking out for the reviews and don't know what's in my head, I'd actually placed my order with them! Hahaha...

One good thing about Lovingminerals.com is they are offering 'Loving Sample Kit' at RM30.00 / USD8.50. Which mean, I can select any 3 types of Mineral Foundation, 1 type of blusher or All Over Radiance Powder (highlighter) and 1 type of Finishing Powder. Every item is 1/4 tsp of product in approximately 3 gram top screw jar.

I've read from Ricebunny, she did mentioned about Everyday Minerals thus when I've seen this foundation is available in Lovingminerals, I can't help myself to get one. I got myself the lightest shade available, which is Fairly Light. I have no idea what's the different between Everyday Light and Fairly Light, so i thought just give it a try.

According to the website, Fairly Light is suitable for yellow and light pink undertones and is matte. I have no idea what undertone shade I have, so normally I'm just guessing on my shade when comes to purchasing foundations. In fact, whether it's in matte or satin finish doesn't really matter to me because at the end of the day, every foundation goes matte on me. Even the infamous Lunasol Water Cream Foundation also turned matte by the end of the day. Weird, huh ?

Second foundation, I'd chosen Light Medium Neutral from Lumiere Cashmere. Don't ask me why I purchased this shade. As usual, by guessing.

Light Medium Beige is suitable for someone who likes to have an overall peachy shade, which I don't know what's that means while Light Medium Golden is suitable for golden honey skin shade, that I don't think I have. Whereas, Light Medium Neutral is suitable for skin that usually get tans easily and have purple veins. I guess that's me, hence I've chose this shade.

Third Foundation, I have the Lumiere Cashmere in Light Beige. This shade description is almost exactly the same as Light Medium Beige but with rarely tans skin. I don't know what are the differences and meaning, I was just picking on lightest shades. Hahaha...

I'm not in Golden or Warm shade so Beige is the only selection. At least, I guess so. Hahaha... I've been reading a lot from how to select best foundations shades but I guess I'm just not that talented. I just couldn't pick up the tricks and knowledge on shades. For me, is all trial and errors. My normal routine in purchasing foundations is simple, just pick on the lightest shade available. No matter is pink or yellow undertone, I won't see any differences because I'm just simply don't know how to catch the differences. Hahaha...

Edit: I've tried Light Medium Neutral and the color is quite matching. Since I'm using it very little in quantity, hence I have no idea whether is perfectly match to my skin tone. I've found that Fairly Light from Everyday Mineral is more on pinkish tone whereas Light Beige and Light Medium Neutral from Lumiere is yellowish.

Davidoff Cool Water Game

This is also a gift from my boyfriend many years ago. He bought this for me because he wants the Davidoff Cool Water For Men, which is including in the Buy 1 Free 1 promotion package. I won't say no since he's buying things for me especially this is in 3.3 fl. oz. Now he's totally fall in love with Davidoff Cool Water for Men and getting more as backup. Hahaha... Cool Water Game is more for younger age group with fruity sweet. It is not that strong fragrance compared to Cool Water Woman but playful and bubbly scent, which is suitable for a beach outing or outdoor games. Normally, I would only wearing this during weekends because I need a scent that can relaxed my mind. With this fragrance on me, I can feel myself feeling younger and more adventurous. Initially, I thought CoolWater Game would be a long lasting fragrance just like Cool Water Woman but it seems that's not the case. I have no idea is it because I put my Cool Water Game inside the car and had been exposed under the sun for too long, resulting the scent tends to evaporate too fast. I never know... Another thing I can't remember is the price because we got it as a set thus I never find out what's the price for individual.

Romance Eau De Parfum by Ralph Lauren

I wanted this parfum for the longest time, Ralph Lauren Romance. Retail price for 3.3 fl. oz is RM280.00 / USD 80.00 but I've seen somewhere else is selling at USD 62.00 and now on sale is only USD 49.95. I remember there's once I read from a magazine saying Romance is a perfect fragrance for a bride during her wedding day and that's comparable with the name 'ROMANCE'. I love the smell of Romance, with the essensens of tangerine, chamomile and freesia with blended notes with ginger, violet and oakmoss. The scent is heavenly soft and peaceful. Although many people recommends this fragrance on romantic use but personally I don't find it as romantic at all. Well, maybe I don't understand how or what's the scent of romantic. I like to wear this fragrance to work when I need people to regards me as a lady. Hahaha... Even I don't think this fragrance spreading out any romantic elements but it is a feminine scent. This fragrance is quite long lasting too.

Ralph Lauren Glamorous Eau De Parfum

This is a Valentine's Day gift from my boyfriend many many years ago. He knew I was eyeing on this Glamorous for the longest time but can't bear my money to buy it hence he got it for me during Valentine's Day Promotion from a local mall. The fragrance comes as a gift set, which consists of Body Deodorant Spray. I have no idea how to describe Glamorous because the elegance, sophistication and nobility scent is such mesmerizing. Not the conventional sexy, seductive or flirty scent that I'm talking about but something more on graceful and poise. It's like a charm. I used to wear Glamorous both day and night but once I heard about the product been discontinued in Malaysia, I've stopped wasting it anymore. Hahaha... now I'm reserving it for very important night date or some high end parties with big shots. *Laughs Out Loud* Glamorous is a very long lasting fragrance and the scent will never be overpowered although you can always sense the existence of the fragrance. Again, this is a gift from my boyfriend and that was many many years ago, somemore this product has been discontinued for many years. Please do not expect me to remember the price. Eventhough, I did manage to find out someone selling it at USD 40.00 for a 1.7 fl. oz.

RALPH by Ralph Lauren

For so many years, this is the only fragrance that I'm able to finished them. I did not repurchase this fragrance although I do like the fruity sweet scent because RAPLH was a first date gift from my ex-boyfriend. He was such a sweet guy, he went through all the troubles to find out what I like and what I don't like, so that he can send me the most practical gift. Yes, he's also found out that I do not like flowers, cards and toys as they are too impractical. I'm a materialistic girl, if you give me cash I would be delightful. Hahaha... That time I was eyeing on RALPH but I was still a poor college student. He bought the fragrance without hesitated and gave it to me on our first date. I was so touched by his attentive and kind-hearted characters but of course I did not accept the gift that time because I thought that will be a too expensive gift. Anyway, I accepted his kindness after 6 months and he presents me the fragrance again. Back to the fragrance, as I've mentioned it earlier. This fragrance is fruity sweet, girlish and perfectly matched with my 'those days' image. Elizabeth Arden's Mediterranean does reminds me a lot of RALPH but Mediterranean is more on sweet floral scent while RALPH is on fruity. For that reason, Mediterranean will be more mature scent and RALPH is good for weekend leisure. Although the description recommended it is wearable in office environment but the scent gives me a kind of immature and playful feeling, which I don't really appreciate in office. That's just my two cents, maybe because I'm working in a fraudulent, firm and treacherous environment thus being girlish is very disadvantage.

My Fragrances Part 1

After my post on the fragrances that I'd redeemed through collective points... My hands are itchy again for another post on fragrances that I've bought with money throughout the years. Some added information for you ladies, my fragrances usage is just one spray. Nothing more than that unless the I couldn't aim the parfum correctly at my clothes. Hehehe...

Vera Wang Truly Pink

For me, this is indeed a mesmerizing fragrance and I love it to death. When I first saw this elegance little pink triangle bottle at Changi Airport in Singapore, I know I had to have it. It's pretty costly at around RM280.00 / USD70.00 for only 1.7 fl. oz. With this kind of pricing, normally I would expect at least a full 3.3 fl. oz. This fragrance is full with harmonious floral scent, neither it smells sweet nor seductive but just nice to grab everyone's attention. As many of you may know, Vera Wang is well known as a wedding gowns designer, thus her fragrance is perfect for a wedding, a church service even a picnic date at the park. I'm kind of feel, this is also a perfect perfume for your first date with a guy. The scent is never overpowered and give me a peace of mind. It gives me some sort of pure, innocent but mature feels. Never need to worry about, Will he finds my perfume too strong, unbearable, slutty or flirty? or does he feels my fragrance is too girlish and immature like a baby ? Although it's a very peaceful and harmonious floral scent but still pretty long lasting. This fragrance is definitely my number 1.

Chanel Chance Parfum

My mum got this 3.3 fl. oz perfume for me during her trip to Shanghai 2 years ago. Initially, I was like Chanel ? It must be 'Auntie's fragrance' but to my surprise it smells heavenly... The scent is strong but fades to acceptable level within few minutes. I can't describe the scent just like Hugo XX. The scent is very characteristic, individual and professionalism. It's unusual and special scent, not floral, sea breeze or seductive type although Grasse Jasmine and Vanilla and Orris Absolute are the ingredients . I like the bottle is in round shape with the square cut stopper and the box is color in pink. It gives both feminine and professional look. I wear this fragrance when I need something strong and firm especially during negotiation with clients. The best part is, Chanel Chance is one of the most long lasting fragrance that I've owned. It can lasted for days and months... It doesn't mean I don't wash my clothes, it means after washing my clothes with detergent and fabric softener using washing machine, the heavenly scent still intact on my clothes! Isn't it amazing? I have no idea how much my mum paid for it, but one thing I know is Chanel is not cheap! Hahahaha... I love it so much and this is also my number 1 scent.

Gucci Eau De Parfum II

I bought this during my last year trip to Thailand. It was not out to Singapore and Malaysia market yet that time and I got it with unreasonable price as I thought it won't be releasing in Malaysia, at least that soon. 6 months after I got it, I saw it available at my local departmental stores at much much much lowered price. I can't really remember how much I paid for this parfum, all I can remember is I'd paid at least RM80.00 / USD23.00 extra at the airport than my local departmental store. This really frustrated me a lot. I never buy any fragrances since then. Ok, enough rambling, let's back to the topic. I don't know about others but I think Gucci EDP II is another professional and mature scent but not so characteristic as Chanel Chance. Gucci EDP II is more on floral and younger feel. This is a fragrance that I would wear it both day and night because it can gives me a different feeling. During working day, Gucci EDP II allows me to show my professionalism and mature thinking, at night it releases some sort of sexy yet not so flirty scent. This is a good fragrance that I can wear to a pub as the scent will not covered by the cigarretes and alcohols smell. It is pretty long lasting too. From Gucci website, the parfum is selling at USD 70.00 for 1.7 fl. oz.

Davidoff Cool Water Woman

This should be my very first fragrance that owned myself although it's actually a Christmas gift from donkey years ago. This is a strong... No, I should say is too strong scent until I thought is the fabric detergent smell (if you are familiar with FAB or Breeze powder detergent, this is the smell). Similar with Chanel Chance, the overpowered scent fades after a while and it becomes a very pleasant scent. This perfume gives me a feeling of fresh, sea breeze and energetic. According to the description, it should be a 'fresh aquatic fragrance evokes the sensations of vitality, energy and sensuality. Its irresistible feminine appeal is based on sparkling citrus notes with aquatic floral, warmed by a gentle hint of amber'. I think the parfum did achieved it's target for vitality and energy with aquatic floral scent. Yesterday, while I was passing by a Davidoff's counter. I saw a Limited Edition package consists of a 200ml Davidoff Cool Water Woman with a 100ml Davidoff Cool Water for Men is around RM 325.00 / USD 92.00, which I would consider as cheap. I love the parfum for it long lasting effects and refresh scent. Same goes with Gucci EDP II, Davidoff Cool Water Woman can be wearing both day and night. The fresh scent will not be covered by any kinds of smell, so I'll know once I'm wearing Davidoff Cool Water Woman I won't smell bad... Hahaha... No, don't ask me how much is this. Since it's a gift, I'll never go and find out what's the price. It was a gift from 10 years ago and is in 3.3 fl. oz, I suppose the retail price has been dropped and is cheaper now. Of yeah, almost forgotten about it, when I got this fragrance, it is actually a Christmas promotion package that comes with the Davidoff Cool Water Woman Loose Powder. I never use the loose powder but swatched it a few times. The powder smells exactly like the parfum and smooth on skin.

Fragrance Packages Arrived !

Wo Hoo ! It's been a while since my last post and I'm yet to get my camera back so I can't take photos on my recent hauls. For your information, I'd just came back from Kuala Lumpur. Although it was a business purpose trip but I'm still managed to bring back some items especially Stila! For many of you may already know, Stila is returning back to States, that means we will be no longer get the chance to buy Stila in Malaysia. They are doing clearance sales since last month, all items are 50% off and everything must GO ! I know I'm very late for that because there's no Stila in my area so I have no choice. I thought I must be too late for the Stila's sale but to my surprise, there are still some leftovers in the counter. I'll show you my Stila haul later. Be patient... Hahaha...

My fragrance packages have arrived today! I'm so happy! I've redeemed an Elizabeth Arden 'Provocative Woman' gift set, which consists a 1.7 fl. oz Eau De Parfum, a 0.33 fl. oz Touch-On Eau De Parfum and 3.3 fl. oz Body Lotion, it's selling at USD46.00 . The Eau De Parfum glass container is beautiful and stylish. I like the smell of seduction and sexy. This fragrance really potraits a mature and sexy woman. I would love to wear this fragrance for a night out. No wonder the tagline for this advertisement is 'Men Will Melt' featuring by Catherine Zeta-Jones. I think Elizabeth Arden's perfumes have the same weakness, which is not that long lasting. Not even half a day, the smell is almost gone in air conditioner room, unless you put your nose near to where you had sprayed the fragrance earlier on. Just imagine if I were in hot and humid 'kopi-tiam' or food court for few hours. I doubt there will be any fragrances left by then, except for the cooking oil smells.

I also got myself a Davidoff Echo Eau De Parfum in 1.7 fl. oz.

This is a totally different feeling compared with Provocative Woman by Elizabeth Arden. If Provocative is dark and mysterious then Davidoff will be a pure and innocent girl from next door. Davidoff Echo is sweet and girlish. Personally, I think this fragrance is perfect for weekends day out. The price is around USD28.00, if I'm not mistaken. I did not buy them but redeemed them using my collective points.

Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean Eau De Parfum Spray in 1.7 fl. oz

It is a radiant woody floral smell. Kind of refreshing but a tad bit of too sweet at the beginning. After a while, the sweetness faded and it's smell so nice. This is my weekends favorite fragrance with a hint of fruity. The only weakness is I've found it's not so long lasting and easily covered by other smells such as cigarettes (I don't smoke but my boyfriend does. Hehehe...), beers and oils (in Malaysia, we do eat in 'kopi-tiam' and food courts without air conditioners so the place is hot and sometimes not so clean. The places are surrounding by all kind of stir/ pan/ deep-frying, steaming & grilling smells). I love love love this fragrance. The smell is intense, captivating and sexy but a different kind of sexy feeling compared with Provocative Woman by Elizabeth Arden. Armani Code is more on young and flirty. The smell is also much stronger than Provocative and I must tell you, this fragrance is so so so long lasting! Even after a night out for clubbing, with all the cigarettes and alcohols smell on dress, you still manage to catch the goodness of Armani Code. I like the bottle too, in deep purple and black imprinted. The price is USD 60.00.

Hugo XX Eau De Parfum by Hugo Boss in 3.3 fl. oz

I always wanted a perfume from Hugo Boss, no idea why. I can't really describe Hugo XX, all I can say is this is THE fragrance for working ladies. The smell allows you to feel the confidence mature and intelligence on oneself. It's very different feeling from other fragrances. Not captivating, seductive, sexy, harmony or sweet. It does not smell super nice but it really did boost up the stronger characters on individual. Abstract? I think so. Hahaha... The perfume is not that long lasting, which I liked to. Anyhow, I like to wear this fragrance during working days. If I'm not mistaken, the price is USD 75.00.

Lunasol Water Cream Foundation

Hi girls, I'm back ! I've been away for 2 weeks and I have tons of stuff need to be update... First of all, I don't think I'll get any Lunasol Water Cream Foundation

because it broke me out and its' still yet to recover, although the foundation is more on fluid than cream type but it just not my cup of tea when comes to spreading and blending on my skin. I've tried so many times, no matter how much moisturizer or water I have on my skin. The foundation just left me uneven patchy and sank into my pores which makes my pores look bigger and more visible than usual. This is really not what I want from a foundation. I don't think this is foundation's fault but more on my own skin and fingers. Maybe my skin is too dry (but I thought Water Cream Foundation supposed to be hydrated?) or the way I'm applying the liquid / cream foundation is wrong ? I like to use my fingers when it comes to applying foundation and eyeshadows. I know I should try on using sponge or brush but I just don't like the idea of bacterias dancing on sponges or brushes after each use especially liquid or cream type. Unless I get my sponges / brushes clean wash after each time used but I'm way too lazy to do that. Hahaha... So I'll just pass on Lunasol or any brands liquid / cream. Thank goodness, I got my Lunasol Water Cream Foundation in sample packs not in full size. There's no return policy in Malaysia and this Lunasol Water Cream Foundation cost RM 168.00 / USD 47.00 . I'll definitely be very heartache if I'd bought the full size and realise this is not the one for me. One good thing about this foundation is, it really makes my skin glow in a healthy looking way.

Busy Week & Random Thoughts

Sorry ladies, I'll be very busy for the entire week as my exhibition starting this coming friday until sunday. I'll have to station at the site so I don't think I can online for the whole week.

I know I did say I have to stop myself from buying things for N times but still I'd spent again last weekend. Kekeke... is a bit heartache now because I've spent over a grand within a month but the damages is already done so no point whining. In fact, I'm quite happy to have new toys to play with. Hahahaha... I'll show the photos and do reviews on my hauling after get back from exhibition. Don't forget to come back !

Here are some thoughts. I always want to get myself some Jill Stuart, Urban Decay, Smashbox, Too Faced and Bare Escentuals products. I have no idea where can I get them in Malaysia and no way I want to buy them online. I'm very particular on texture and colors of products especially eyeshadows. I've seen many bloggers do their e shopping but I never know how they choosing the colors ? I mean like how do you know which shade of foundation is suitable for you and what kind of blusher color will compliment your skin unless you have tried them or used them before, right? Also, if you are buying skincare online, how are you going to determine which skincare won't iritate your skin ? I never catch any idea of shopping online unless something I'd tried swatches and it's cheaper to buy online then I'll go for e shopping. I know there are always returns policy although we don't have it here in Malaysia. I guess is because we had abused the policy too much and most of the companies do find us annoyed enough. Hahahaha... To purchase something yet find it not suitable for your skin and return them again, later purchase a new product again, don't you feel a bit troublesome ? Maybe I'm the odd one out here... Hahaha... I'm more on straightforward person, I've tried it, I like it then I'll bring them home. I seldom buy something without trying or swatches. Just to make sure it worth every penny of mine. Yes, I'm a cheapo... LoLz...

After such a long paragraph, my conclusion is I'm starting to get more and more interested in buying cosmetics online because there are too many brands not available in Malaysia. Hahaha... I know some of you might want to punch me on my face! LoLz... but after seeing so many bloggers having fun shopping online and got themselves such wonderful items. I'm so tempted... Ladies, what are the websites are reliable, cheap and carrying plenty of products/ brands? Most importantly, they must ship to Malaysia. Don't know why, Malaysia sounds like an isolated and secluded country, which I found many sites don't ship to Malaysia but Singapore. We are so close neighbour!

Mac Hauls

I'm been eyeing on MAC Mineralize SkinFinish for the longest time and at last I've got myself this Perfect Topping Mineralize SkinFinish! This is actually a gift from my boyfriend, he gave me RM100.00 / USD 27.50 for my MAC shopping. Although it's not much but he always opposes my indulgence in skincare and cosmetics but last month he had given me RM 600.00 / USD 165.00 for my skincare and cosmetics shopping spree ! Darling, I love you soooooo much ! Hehehehe... The price for Mineralize SkinFinish is RM105.00 / USD29.00.

According to MAC SA, Perfect Topping is much softer color compare to another MSF color named Refined. Perfect Topping is more on pinkish, peachy and purplish melange while Refined is more on tan, peachy and coral melange. In fact, I always wanted to get something which is coral but those SAs always advice me not to get them as coral looks dark on my skin. Swatches on my hand, I must tell you how much I love Perfect Topping on my skin. My skin is glowing!

Another item that I'd picked up from MAC is the Sugarsweet Collection shadestick in Cakeshop. Each shadestick is RM65.00 / USD18.00. Seriously, I think MAC products are way too expensive in Malaysia compared to US. Furthermore, the SA in my local MAC told me that they are no longer selling pigments unless from the latest collection. This mean I have to stock up my pigments from overseas. MAC, you really don't know how much I love to use pigments !

I don't know why, I'm so in love with green. I have tons of green eyeshadows but most of them are similar green colors but I know I have to get this gorgeous shadestick. From the picture above, it might looks a bit pale silver color but it's a light shimmery moss green. I'm so tempted to get the Butternutty and Lemon Chiffon but I have limited cash on me. Of course another thing is, my boyfriend was just standing right in front of me and I can't buy too much cosmetics as I'd bursted out my quota way too much last month.

One good thing about Sugarsweet Collection, other than MSFs and Shadesticks, there is nothing else that interested me. The eyeshadows don't seem inviting to me eventhough I really want to get myself a nice pink and purple eyeshadow. Initially, Aquavert was quite impressed me but later I found that my EOTD colors combination of gold and marine blue look a lot like Aquavert. Since I can create a similar color by combining two existing colors that I've already had, why should I spend additional on Aquavert anyway ?

I think maybe I'll go back and get the Lollipop Loving lipstick. Although I don't wear lipstick that much but the color of Lollipop Loving did leave me a good impression. It's all depend on my April and May's shopping budgets.

Restriction on myself

Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost Waterproof Mascara

Don't know where and when, I've read someone raving about this Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost Waterproof Mascara. My hands are itchy for mascaras again, thus this mascara followed me back home yesterday night.

Wondering is it my expectations on this mascara was too high or it really that disappointed. I really find this as another monkey's best friend. I have quite good acquaintances with Maybelline mascaras such as Unstoppable Curly Extension Mascara and Unstoppable Shiny Black Mascara.

I'm all good with Majolica Majorca's mascaras but with my itchy hands I always like to explore more and hope to find my holy grail mascara. I have the new Lash Beautifying Mascara Frame Plus, Lash Enamel Glamour Neo, Lash Gorgeous Wing & Lash Expander Neo.

Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost Mascara claims to be increase 5 times volume and can be build instantly. How amazing statement it is! I've took their words too seriously and got fallen from the heaven badly too. It does not do any 5 times volume magic on my lashes and I need at least 3 coats to see any mascara on lashes. My normal procedure for Majolica Majorca mascaras is only 1 coat and ' Ta Da!'. Yes, only 1 coat of Majolica Majorca mascara will do the magic for me. Full volume and long lashes with just 1 coat of mascara. WIth this Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost, I need 3 coats at least. This really irritates my patience. One good thing about this mascara is it's really don't clump even after 3 coats. I think this is the only thing that makes me feel my money didn't gone into drain, at least not that much. Other than that, I don't think there's much to say.

Guerlain sample, Lunasol Foundations and Makeup Base

I've forgot that the very kind SA of Guerlain also gave me a good size of sample, Guerlain Secret de Purete Foaming Cleansing Milk.

Haven't try this yet but I thought I should mentioned this because the Guerlain SA is really a nice lady. I just mentioned to her that I'm such a lazy person thus I need a quick and effective cleanser. Without saying anything, she took out a big size of cleansing milk sample for me to try.

My next target will be Lunasol Water Cream Foundation, I'm so buying it now. Before I reach my hands out for Lunasol, I have to make myself clear about the differences between Water Cream and Modeling Water Liquid Foundation. Anyone can tell me the differences? I'm now caught in shades between OC01 and OC02. I've tried them both on my jawline but I can't see any different and both look so natural on me. The SA advises me to get OC02 as she thinks OC01 is slightly lighter shade than OC02 (in container not on my skin) but on my skin both look the same. In you opinion, which shade should I buy?

Modeling Water Liquid Foundation.

I've visited Lunasol counter at The Garden Isetan last weekend. The kind SA agreed to give me a sample of Water Cream Foundation in OC02 with a creamy makeup base even I'm not buying anything from her. I'd swatches them at the counter and find them amazingly smooth and flawless on my skin. I'm not a liquid or cream foundation lover even though I love the silky smooth, glowy effects that liquid foundation can deliver. Major reason is because I just don't know how to spread out the liquid foundation evenly and without tugging too hard on my skin. I find using powder is the easiest but sometimes powder does clog pores on me.

My initial plan was to try on Paul & Joe Protective Fluid Foundation after reading so many great raves especially from Fuzkittie but I'd change my mind after a swatches on Lunasol foundations. I've read this review on Val_Chante's blog before and how much she loves on Lunasol's foundation, this urges me to go and have a look on Lunasol.

Guerlain Meteorites Powder For Face in 01 Mythic - RM168.00 / USD46.00

This is my second box of Guerlain Meteorites Powder For Face in 01 Mythic. I love the shimmery yet subtle effects on me. It brightens my skin, transforms my dull and sleepy face into glowy and energetic looking skin. Sometimes I just using this powder on prep face and ready to go. The reason why I love this little cutie box of powder:

The texture is smooth and sheer shimmery. It brightens up my skin and looks glow from within.
Colorful pearls, each colors have their own benefits and usage. Pink gives a healthy glow, green tones down redness, mauve attracts light, gold and pearl combine to create highlights while brighten. No worries about these colorful pearls as it is colorless after applying on skin.
Nice packaging but not suitable for travelling.It's bulky round box like a jewel box.
Some might not like on the fragrance in this powder but it don't bother me at all. The scent goes away pretty fast after application.

Guerlain Issima Perfect White C Purifying Brightening Cleanser - RM145.00 / USD40.00

I've used this cleanser few years ago and I like it very much. The reason why I'd stopped using it is because of the steep price and is kind of difficult for me to locate this brand in my area. My local Guerlain counter had been closed down and now there are only 5 Guerlain sales counters available in nationwide. I love the tiny beads to massages on my skin. It makes me feel clean and smooth after each wash. Whether it brightens or the power on removing makeup, it just a mysterious for me. Although it is a makeup remover, but I never use this cleanser to remove any makeups. I'm using it after cleansing oil or normal non makeup cleansing only.

Guerlain Perfect White C Brightening High Protection in SPF50 PA+++ - RM190.00 / USD52.00

The reason I bought this sunscreen is because it is on 50% sale (I paid RM95.00 / USD26.00) and I need a new sunscreen to replace my almost finishing Shu Uemura sunscreen in SPF50 PA+++. Years ago, I've tried their Perfect White C Brightening High Protection Makeup Base in SPF40 PA+++ and I love it so so so much. Unfortunately, this product has been discontinued in Malaysia and I have no idea whether is only discontinued in Malaysia or worldwide. Now, they replaced the SPF40 into SPF30 and the price is intact. This makeup base gives me glows and covered some minor redness and dark spots. In my opinion, Guerlain makeup base is much more better than any BB cream in the market. Back to the sunscreen, it's in white color but never gives any shadows or white cast upon application. It's not oily and it smooth like butter.

The SA is kind enough to give me 2 samples of their new Perfect White C Brightening High Protection Makeup Base in SPF30 PA+++.

The SA told me this is a primer with pure gold. When she spread a little bit of this pure gold primer on my hand, I can feel my hand is smooth and hydrated. Wow... I must try this!

Guerlain Crayon Pencil Liner & Kohl - RM70.00 / USD19.00 each

Told you I want to get myself a nice and smooth pencil liner. Initially, I never thought about getting this Guerlain pencil liner. I went to MUFE in One Utama, the SA told me they are running out of stock on AQUA Pencil Liner in Black. No choice, I walked around the mall and suddenly thought of Xisa left me a comment saying about Guerlain pencil liner. Yes, I've read ParisB review on Guerlain pencil liner and how she raves about it. Since I'm going to Guerlain, I thought might as well try on this pencil liner. I'm glad I grab this liner as it is indeed a good pencil liner. Unlike Loreal, this babe glides easily and never smudges. It gives me silky and smooth finishing, the density is more than a normal pencil liner could have done. I love it so much and the best thing is it comes with own sharpener. I don't need to buy one.

Next thing is...

Paul & Joe Eye Gloss N - RM 86.00 / USD23.50 each

I was searching high and low over this Paul & Joe Eye Gloss N. I went to One Utama Parkson, Midvalley Jusco & Metrojaya and The Garden Isetan, I can't find any Paul & Joe counter! How can Midvalley such a giant shopping mall doesnt has Paul & Joe ! At the end, I've rush to Suria KLCC Isetan yet they don't have Paul & Joe too. With my last resort, i 'd made my way to Parkson in KLCC. I've searched the whole Parkson yet I did not see any sign or Paul & Joe. With so much disappointment, I saw a tiny little counter behind Givenchy. It is PAUL & JOE, but without any SA ! I don't care anymore I just want to grab their eye glosses and do some swatches over their liquid foundation that Fuzkittie been raving about. I'll get into detail next time on why I didn't buy Paul & Joe foundation since it's nice and smooth.

Without any hesitation, I asked the Givenchy SA to find me Eye Gloss N in color 03 and 04. 03 is a nice and shimmery sheer purple color. It looks so nice and shimmery, the color is sheer and soft but you can still be able to tell that's a purple color on eyelids. As for 04, is also shimmer but in sheer pink color. It might look darker in the container but believe me, the color comes out is sheer and smooth.

I love how these eye gloss is buildable, it won't crease if you apply another layer of eyegloss or cream on it. My MAC Paint Pot always crease on me if I apply too much or takes too much time on spreading out the colors. As for Beaute De Kose Eye Fantasist, a little goes a long way and I don't need to buildup the color, it's already very bright and dense. I must say that Paul & Joe Eye Gloss is much more better than MAC paint pot.

Why is that so hard to find Paul & Joe and Guerlain sales counter in Malaysia ? Such a wonderful brands and products, we should have it more here !

Locating a worthy pencil liner.

Just wondering is there any nice and cheap pencil eyeliners available ? I always wanted to try on pencil eyeliner but it disappointed me way too many times. Either they are smudging, rough texture, tiny fall bits mess up my makeup, not long lasting or irritated my eyes. Currently, I'm using this pencil liner from Loreal, which I believe already discontinued long time ago. I bought this liner when I was in Australia.

Loreal Pencil Perfect Automatic EyeLiner in Cocoa.

From the name you can tell it is an sharpener-less eyeliner. This means I don't need to buy additional sharpener to sharpen the pencil like traditional type. Simply twist the upper part of the pencil just like a lipstick, in order to use the product. Remember, do not be itchy handed like me, twisted the pencil too much and wishful thinking it can be restore back like a lipstick too. The answer is NO! It can't restored once you twisted it out. I don't know, maybe mine is defected pencil but I've tried twice and both delivered me the same results. Wasted a lot because of my itchy hands... Hahaha...

It has creamy texture, which also the only thing I like about it. I always find it's difficult to draw a line with this pencil liner for few reasons:

Texture is too soft hence it's hard to spread out the product evenly on eyelids. A bit lacking of density in this product. I don't know maybe it just me having this kind of problem as I have shaky hands.
Some tiny falling bits always get into my eyes or face, which causes a lot of mess and it also caught in between lashes when I've try to fill in gaps between lashes. This really annoyed me because whenever I bat or blink my eyes, bits by bits will fall on my face throughout the day. Sometimes I have to removes all my makeup just because the fallen bits stick on my face. When I attempt to remove them by sweeping away with brush or dabbing it with tissue, it only get things even worse.
It smudges. Need I explain more ?
Not long lasting. I never apply this pencil liner on tear duct area or for tight-lining purpose thus I can't say how long it will be lasting on these area. Based on my application on eyelids and fill in gaps between lashes, at most it only last me for 3 hours. I think the product most probably all fallen on my face instead of staying on my eyelids.

Sometimes I'm getting lazy, this is when this crappy pencil liner come to place. Since I'm very particular on cleanliness and hygiene, you may be surprise but I'm washing my gel liner brush everyday right after using it.

Currently, Kate Gel Eye Liner is my daily use liner. I have it in BR-1, a little bit shimmery brown although it supposed to be matte brown, BK-1, a matte classic black and BK-3, shimmery metallic black. I still remember previously was extremely hard to find Kate Gel Eye Liner as they were discontinued in Malaysia for some times. At the end, I'd managed to grab a BR-1 in brown although that is not what I want. The texture is soft and smooth, it doesn't smudges as much as Loreal Pencil Perfect Automatic EyeLiner and quite long lasting. I like it very much. After some times, Kate came out with their Metallic series of Gel Eye Liner, without any hesitation i got myself a BK-3. Finally and lastly I found the classic matte black gel liner. I have no idea why, my BR-1 and BK-3 have the similar texture which is soft but BK-1 is hard. Although they all spread easily on my eyelids, just wondering why is that happened ? Is it because BK-1 has already been on shelf for too long ? Frankly speaking, I was looking for this BK-1 for the longest time until I accidentally found it in Watson... That was the last piece and I doubt about the stock inside their store room. Is it really discontinued or they just too lazy to get the stocks out from the warehouse.

Both Fuzkittie and Jojoba has did some reviews on MUFE Aqua Pencil Eye Liner. I'm definitely would like to try on this liner. Still, I'm looking for cheaper alternative and quality comparable with MUFE Aqua Pencil Eye Liner.

Favourite Concealer... At least for now...

I was so disappointed with The Body Shop Flawless Skin Protecting Concealer but bear with it for many months because I don't want to waste my money. I never wore any concealer before I got myself The Body Shop Flawless Skin Protecting Concealer even though I do wearing makeup everyday. Until I saw this great review on MyWomenstuff.

I was sold by ParisB's review, just look at the brilliance colors of the eyeshadows and how smooth the concealer is on her hand. I couldn't wait any longer. I rushed to the nearest I-Nuovi cosmetics counter after work and grabbed this...

I-Nuovi Undercover Under-Eye Dark Circle Concealer. I love this babe so much. A little bit goes a long way. My color is 2Y, which is also the lightest color available. The texture is slightly fluid and it goes smoothly along my undereye. It doesn't cakes on me or settle into fine lines like The Body Shop Flawless Skin Protecting Concealer. There are some hints of shimmer and light particles to brighten up my undereye so that I won't look tired. It is easy to use, u know I'm lazy and most important thing is the color suits me better. I-Nuovi Undercover Under-Eye Dark Circle Concealer in color 2Y is some kind of peachy-yellow while The Body Shop Flawless Skin Protecting Concealer is only yellowish. I think yellow makes my skin look dull and tired, I don't know why or that's my imagination ? I never learnt how to select correct shade of foundations and concealer, if you have any easy to understand theories, please let me know as I always ended up buying wrong shades. Hahaha...

I like the facts that this concealer is light, smooth and never dries on my undereye. Unlike my previous concealer, this one doesn't get patchy and cakey. One thing I must clarify here is I only use concealer on undereye area thus I don't have any idea whether it helps on blemishes or scars. The retail price for I-Nuovi Undercover Under-Eye Dark Circle Concealer is RM60.00 / USD16.50 but from what I saw on their official website is USD19.00. I've seen I-Nuovi products in certains Sasa and some Metrojaya Departmental stores but I don't think it's available in every Sasa and Metrojaya.

I'll definitely repurchase this product unless I can find something else better than this concealer. I'm quite interested in Bobbi Brown and MUFE concealer too... Kekeke...

I've bought some eyeshadows together with concealer. I'll do the review tomorrow as I'm rushing out now...

The Body Shop Flawless Skin Protecting Concealer

This is something that I've bought maybe a year ago, I can't remember clearly. The Body Shop Flawless Skin Protecting Concealer.

I wears concealer every time going out as my undereye dark circle is heavy and I don't wish to scares people off. Hahaha... This is the first concealer I've ever bought and for some reason The Body Shop Flawless Skin Protecting Concealer is also a monkey's best friend.

I was persuaded by the SA, this concealer contains Marula Oil, as what you can see the white color stuff in the middle of concealer from the picture above. Marula Oil is rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids, it moisturizes and provides hydrating and smooth finish. Thus, I was sold.

What is a concealer ? Does it supposed to cover or at least minimizes the imperfections such as blemishes, dark circles or scars? I just need something can minimizes or brighten up my undereye area and this concealer is totally disappointment me.

The Body Shop Flawless Skin Protecting Concealer does not conceal anything, does not provides me flawless skin, does not hydrate or moisture my skin and it makes things worse. This concealer looks cakey on me, yellowish undertone and dries my undereye area. Everytime I've applied this concealer, all I can see is my lines are more visible and no matter how much I wants to smooth out the lines, it just never works. Not only that, with the helps of Marula Oil it suppose to be hydrates and moisture in order to protects undereye area but it seems doesn't work for me. Initially, I thought is my undereye area too dry for the concealer application hence I'd added up the dosage of eye cream and moisturize the skin around but the results were still the same.

The concealer is smooth and creamy on my fingers but it just cakes on me everytime I'm using it. At the end, I've given up on it and bought a new concealer from I-Nuovi.

As I can remember, I've seen somewhere raving about this Camomile Eye Makeup Remover, thus I've decided to give it a try since my Elianto Pomegranate Eye & Lip Makeup Remover is finishing soon.

There are 2 types of Camomile Eye Makeup Remover, which is normal for non waterproof makeups and another one is this Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover. Of course, I would purchase the waterproof type since I'm using my Kate waterproof gel liner and waterproof mascara too.

It's scented free, not oily as it is in light cream type and white in color. It does stings if the cream gets into eyes, other than that everything is fine. I'm so used to oil/fluid type of eye makeup removers, this eye makeup remover did makes me a little bit frustrated. My normal routine to removing eye makeups is to pour a certain amount of liquid type of eye makeup remover on 2 pieces of cotton pad. Place these pads on one eye each, waits for 20 seconds, ho-la... everything is clean and neat even on my Majolica Majorca Lash Enamel mascara. No rubbing at all.

I can' t use the same method anymore since Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover is in the cream type. According to the instructions, squeezes out a certain amount of cream from the tube and gently massage them over eyes area, this will dissolves every single eye makeup. Use cotton pads gentle swipe away the cream and it will be all cleanse up. There's no needed to use too much as our area around eyes is not that big either. I was using too little on the first day and the mascara just wouldn't comes out. On second day, I was using too much and cream got into my eyes, it hurts. On third day, I've tried little by little to buildup the amount of cream, this was much better. It cleansed everything and did not gets into my eyes but I found this method is slow and needs a lot of rubbing and dragging. For that particular reason, to take out liner on tight lining is such a painstaking procedure.

Although, it did dissolves my waterproof eye makeup but it also takes some effort to cleanse up the mess too. I don't like the idea of dissolved eye makeup all ended up transferring to my face. As I massaging the cream on area around my eyes, the colors will create a huge mess on my face. So ugly and I also don't like to rub on my eyelids or lashes in order to take out the mascara and eyeliner. It also takes longer time for me to removes makeups because it needs a lot of massaging to take out the makeups especially on lashes. I find that Camomile Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover is quite effective on removing the makeup but not so user friendly, at least for me. I'm a lazy bum... Hehehe...

Who is monkey's best friend ? Anyone knows the answer ? The answer is CRAB ! Let me long story cuts short.

All the while I was using The Body Shop makeup brushes although been tempting to get MAC or Bobbi Brown but the price really not so friendly to me. For me, The Body Shop brushes are moderate pricing yet good in quality. Its' soft and dense, no matter how many times I have washed them, its' still in pretty good condition.

One day, I was looking at some other brands and of course cheaper alternatives than The Body Shop. Yes, I'm such a cheapo. Hahaha... I had passed by The Face Shop, The Skinfood and Etude House. At last, I made up my mind to get a powder brush from Etude House and this cost me RM35.00 / USD10.00.

So happy and brought the brush back, washed it thoroughly and allowed it to air dry completely. The first time I was using it, one word DISASTER! I'm totally hate this brush. It's not only sting, scratchy, rough and never picks up any powder. The worst part is, the hairs dropped and sticked on my face! What else can be the worse than this. From the packaging, I saw the brush is made from goat hairs. Does goat hair that scratchy and rough ? I can't believe it. The Body Shop brushes are all made from synthetic hairs and I have never experience and roughness or scratchiness but how can a goat hairs brush be so bad ? With no choice, I went back to The Body Shop and grab another retractable powder brush, again. With the money, I had spent on Etude House crappy brush and The Body Shop retractable brush, I'll probably can get myself a MAC powder brush. So heartache... I'll stick to The Body Shop brushes until I can save enough money for MAC or Bobbi Brown's brushes...

Yes, what's about the monkey's best friend, CRAB ? I gave up my Etude House powder brush and is pity to throw it away so I decided to let my boyfriend has it to cleans up his TAMIYA remote control car. He asked me, am I seriously giving him the expensive brush and what's the reason? This is my answer, "I paid peanuts hence I got a monkey back and this is totally a crap!". So I thought crap has the similar sound like crab, since then monkey's best friend is crab. I know is not funny at all, just something to comfort myself for buying such a crappy brush. I know there are some inexpensive brushes available out there but why am I never seen any here ?

Anyone got any idea on how to choose, how to wear and how to protect a pantyhose. I've seen so many gorgeous women wearing these and I'm tempted to try it. My 1st attempt on wearing it was a disaster. Before going out to the door, I'd torn a tiny little hole on right knee. By noon, the tiny hole became a big one and yes, it was ugly but I can't take it down right away because I was meeting outside from the office. My 2nd attempt was just slightly better, but still I've torn it again. I don't want to waste anymore money but I really love the smooth and elegant look with high heels.

The quality of pantyhose that I've bought, I suppose is considering as good quality as I'd compared to other brands.

Yes, I know I'm been slacking for many days.. Hahaha... I'm just too busy and no time to sit down and read all my beloved bloggers postings properly. Ok, I'll do a review on some masks that I'm been using all the while and some just trying to find my time to test them.

Anyone got any recipes for reducing the pores ? Yes, I want my pores to be invisible even without makeups or any forms of skincare. Seriously, I don't like to be delusive or living in my own imagination and ended up buying something that only helps to cover up pores for temporary purpose. Currently, I'm testing on Beaute De Kose Pore Serum.

Most of the pore serums are only be able to cover up pores for lesser visibility and do nothing much on reducing the physical size of pores. Beaute De Kose Pore Serum did claims to plumps and restructure the skin around pores, we shall see it as I'm just starting to use it for 1 month. Not much different till now and I did not see any instant minimises on pores as well. One thing I like about this pore serum is it comes with a great smell. Hahaha... The price is not cheap, it's about RM155.00 / USD42.00.

I just couldn't understand why there are so many ladies out there wearing makeups everyday / nights and their skin still so flawless and I can't even find where's their pores! Some of my friends never ever using any skincares and some even wearing makeups into sleep yet they still look so pretty and NO PORES to be seen anywhere. How could that be ? I'm cracking my head to that question. Anyone got the answer ?

Sometimes, I do feel the main culprit for the visible pores is the powder foundation. In other hand, I hate to use liquid foundation because I just couldn't blend them well. I dislike the patchy and uneven foundation look on me. Just when I thought I've found my saviour, BB Cream... but then again, it's disappointed me. I'll do a review on why BB Cream disappointed me.

Ok, enough for my grumpiness. Hope that by doing mask diligently can do some salvation on my skin. Kekeke... Wait for my posting on masks... yes, very soon...*winks*

Yes, I've got it after a lot of hardship. From the product description, this lengthening and curling mascara creates up to 150% longer lashes and sets lashes to a daring 95-degree curve. Patented formula gives lashes 12 hours of hold! Can you believe that ? If you've noticed the brush is slightly slated with an 8-degree, which is great for reaching out every single lashes, lashes separation, enchances lengthening and curl hold effects. For me, I feel the slanted applicator really make things easier.

I was sold by the advertisement saying 'I have sin, I did not permed my eyelashes but it stays extremely curl! Don't you ? Hahahaha... Indeed, this is incredible! In case you don't remember, let me reminds you again. My eyelashes is straight, no matter how many times I've curl them or how long I put the lash curler on them. It just don't curl at all ! I don't perm them because I'm so afraid the idea of someone else putting something unknown near to my eyes.

Ok, back to the topic. Maybelline Unstoppable Curly Extension Mascara really works. It gives me natural curls. Whether is 95-degree curls or does it holds up to 12 hours that will be unknown because yesterday, I was only wearing it for 10 hours and I didn't take any measurement from lashes. I think it is an over claimed that this mascara can creates up to 150% longer lashes but still it does lengthened in certain percentage. Another thing that I think should be bring forward is the staying ability. It's long lasting (please be reminded, when I mentioned 'long lasting' means the mascara color not the curl hold) without any smudges or clumps and the best thing is, it can be removes by using warm water. No eye and lip makeup remover required here, provided if you are using it alone without any other waterproof eye shadows or liners.

I love this mascara so much and it's having sale at Watsons for only RM21.90 / USD6.00 when original price is RM30.90 / USD8.30. Some Watsons already running out of stocks, I've searched 2 different Watsons. The second Watsons visited only left 2 tubes when the first Watsons left none.

After testing it, I'm simply couldn't resisted it, hence I rushed to the third Watsons and bought another tube just for stock up purpose. They are also left 2 tubes there. Hahaha...

Notes: Many years ago there was a mascara by Loreal called Panaromic or something like that also did a fantastic curl for me but unfortunately it does not hold the curl for long and look sparse Anyway, I think the product already discontinued as I didn't see it around for quite some times.

I'm so not inspiring today... I didn't even wearing any makeups when I came out just now. Have no idea what to write and what to post... Maybe you can tell me what do you wish to see in my blog ? I'll be hitting the mall later at night, most probably do some damages again. Hahahaha... I guess I'll be just follow Fuzkittie's step for breaking on the No-Buy rule. LoLz... Anyway, I've been searching high and low for the Dejavu Fiberwig mascara that MiuMiu was recommended.

Arghhh, I've found them in my local Guardian drugstore but the manufacturing date was 04 July 2007? I've checked 2 Guardian drugstores and they are all bearing the exactly same batch of goods. Someone please tell me whether this mascara is still usable after 2 years came out from the factory. The price is RM58.70 / USD16.00. Should I get the Dejavu Fiberwig mascara ? Or should I head to Sasa and get Kiss Me Heroin Make Long And Curl Mascara with the heap price of RM67.00 / USD18.00 for a drugstore brand mascara when Dior Iconic mascara is only RM91.00 / USD24.00...?

Some updates here, I've read some reviews on Dejavu Fiberwig mascara. Some did mentioned they tends to get eye infections after use. This worries me a lot as I have sensitive eyes too. Well, for the Kiss Me Heroin Make Long And Curl Mascara did not do any better either. I've read more bad reviews than good ones. I'm starting to loses my interest in these 2 mascaras. So probably I'll get this babe later on, to think the New Unstoppable Shiny Black Mascara full length version, which I purchased few weeks ago does make me feel good...

Unstoppable Curly Extension Mascara!

I have never be a fan of Maybelline, mainly because their eyeshadows and foundations are real disappointment. Not being pigmented, I can't even say is sheer because it's seems like no color at all, no matter how many times I'd layer on it. The eyeshadows and powder are just 'flying' around like nobody business and it become so messy and dirty. Although the price tags are not high but still not justifiable with the quality of products. With all the above mentioned reasons, I'm still in love with their mascaras.

To be honest, the previous generation of Unstoppable, which in light bluish grey tube was just doing so-so on my straight and moderate long eyelashes but it did works effectively on lengthened my eyelashes. Although I won't consider my eyelashes are sparse but without mascara it just seems empty especially my inner eye area. Another problem with my eyelashes is, not matter how much I'd curl them, it'll remain straight after no time. Hopefully, this Maybelline Unstoppable Curly Extension Mascara will do what it promises.

For your information, it's so much cheaper to buy Kiss Me Heroin Make Long And Curl Mascara online as Sasa.com only selling at USD10.60 and Dejavu Fiberwig Mascara is only USD12.60.

In case you don't know, I'm a mascaras' lover. I have tons of mascara, majority drugstore brands because I'm such a stingy person! Hahahaha... My Daily Moisturizers

From drugstore to high end brands, I'd try most of them. This Kose Sekkisei Day Essence SPF 25 PA+ is what I'm using for the longest time.

In fact, there's nothing much special about Kose Sekkissei Day Essence SPF 25 PA+. I was persuaded by the SA, that I need a sunscreen (mind you, I never use any sunscreen until 3 years ago.) but yet I was so lazy to apply moisturizer before sunscreen, I thought why not get myself a moisturizer cum sunscreen ? Although, I think I need to apply a layer of moisturizer before this essence but from the instruction manual and what SA told me which I can skip moisturizing and use this product directly. I wouldn't be dare to apply other sunscreens directly without moisturizer and this is the only one that I can put my trust on it.

From the product description, this is a whitening day essence that delivers active whitening ingredients into keratin layer while protecting the skin from UV rays. It controls melanin productions and inhibits formation of blotches and freckles caused by excessive sun exposures. This product actually fortified with extract of Inula Britanica Flower, Chinese Pearl Barley, Paeonia Albiflora Root, Melothria Heterophylla, Angelica and Honeysuckle Flower to refresh and hydrate skin. The effects of this essence comes slowly but long lasting, it means you won't be able to see any results immediately but after many months. The recommended usage will be 2 to 3 pumps each use but I found that only 1 pump is enough for my entire face. If 2 pumps are way too much and might feel stickness.

The bottle is made from sturdy glass thus is a bit heavy when you pick it up. The texture is thick but smooth though. White in color with no fragrance at all, spreads like butter without any hassle. Do remember not to use too much otherwise it'll be sticky and difficult to spread out. I love the fact that this product is not oily and never causes any white cast / shadows or residues even it's white in color. It also moisture my skin and decent enough to be makeup base. I'm using this as my daytime moisturizer and makeup base. I can't remember clearly what is the exact price now, but it should be somewhere around RM160.00 / USD43.00, if i didn't remember wrongly.

It sounds like a miracle but if the amount of water on my skin is just enough, the beauty oil will penetrate into my skin instantly! Sometimes when I go heavy handed, I would spray another layer of Avene Thermal Spring Water to neutralize it and pat on face till dry. Yes, the useful lesson here is to be extremely light handed and 1 drop is enough. Never be greedy and a little really goes a long long long way. A bottle of 60ml Squalane Beauty Oil is RM245.00 / USD66.00, which I find quite worth it.

Kose Moisture Skin Repair Essence

I love this, I love this and I love this! Not only me, even my mum also loves this. I can't describe how much I love this Kose Moisture Skin Repair Rice Power Extract Essence.

I always knew rice water is good for skin and there are a lot of products claim having the same rice extract but this is the real rice power extract. I've been using this since 3 years ago, not everyday and if I can remember to use it. The price is a little steep, RM155.00 / USD42.00 for 50ml and RM255.00 / USD69.00 for 100ml. Even if I remember to use it, I also using it only at night time.

The texture for this essence is light as water, absorb and penetrates almost immediately. It has a very mild rice water smell and color. It's quite refreshing though. I would use this after cleansing and before eye care product. My normal dosage will be just 1 pump of Kose Moisture Skin Repair Essence, pat a little by little bit onto my face and skin around eyes until fully absorbed. Nothing looks different after each application, but the essence is indeed working good underneath my skin. I can feel my skin is supply and hydrated.

With the Rice Power Extract No.: 11, I've forgotten why it called No. 11, it's once mentioned in popular Taiwanese TV Show 'Queen'. I think it is because they had experimented it for 11 times and succeeded with the great product? Extract No.: 11 is to promote the production of intecellular lipids including ceramide, to increase the ability of moisture retention. Rice bran extract is fermented and extracted through a special process that takes 90 days to complete. The combination of rice bran extract and yeast or enzyme during fermentation that stimulates the level of Amino Acid for extra smoothing and softening results.

Don't be surprise, when this little bottle is suitable for all skin types especially oily and dehydrated skin. It's help to balance and repair our skin. It's like dwelling a well underneath to provide more water and hydrates our skin.

My Favourite Toner

I've been using a lot from KOSE. I'm still using them but recently I've found another...

They called it VC Lotion II, in a slim and tall white bottle. No fancy wording or packaging, only VC Lotion and HABA on the bottle. It serves like a toner but they claims it as moisturizer, weird huh ?. Slightly yellowish in color, absord rapidly but with a weird smell. I don't know how to describe the weird smell but it don't bother me much as it fades away pretty fast. The one I have is an older version of VC Lotion, which the bottle is slightly shorter but fatter. I do believe there's a spray pump comes with the new version of VC Lotion II, well mine don't have. I would prefer to have it spray onto face instead of pouring them out from the bottle and pat on face. Sometimes my hands are just loses the balance n spill my precious VC Lotion all over the place. I suppose this is the only thing I hate about this VC Lotion. Anyway, they had improved their packaging !.

Initially, I don't give any concern and I didn't even listen carefully to what the SA told me about the goodness of VC Lotion because my concentration wasn't on it. After using it for few weeks, I've started to feel the differences. My skin is supply, freckles are less visible and I don't break outs easily anymore !. VC Lotion is an alcohol free toner with 2% of Vitamin C derivative and contains Ceramide Nanosome. Both ingredients helps to prevent blemishes, keep moisture longer lasting and creates a clear & translucent skin. It is suitable for someone who likes whitening products so much and it's a healing toner according to their official website. In order to justify which products deserves the love. I had it tested by stopped using it for few days before menses. Although not much different from usual, but my zits and pimples were back from menses. I guess is the sanitized and moisturizing balance agents in VC Lotion that works so well on my skin and save me troubles from dull and problem skin.

This is definitely my favourite toner. There's another toner by HABA called G Lotion. G Lotion is more on hydrating and without whitening agents. I also have G Lotion since it comes with the starter pack. I'll give it a review after my VC Lotion finished.

Beaute de Kose Cyber Shine Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette

I couldn't believe my own eyes! Beaute de Kose Limited Edition 4 colors eyeshadow palette is only RM68 / USD18.50! A single color shadow is around RM78 / USD21.00 and this is a 4 colors palette! It's such a steal ! How can I missed that!

Recently, I'm more towards brown & gold eye colors so when I spotted this palette I know I had to have it. Green is also one of my favourite uses color. While I'm trying to play with my new toy and starting to wonder, how can it be? Since Internet is such an easy and useful tool, searching is in progress...

Ah Hah... I'd found this post by Muse, which posted more than 1 year ago. I've been reading her posts almost everyday but I've overlooked this post! Apparently, Beaute de Kose Cyber Shine Limited Edition palette is their 2008 Spring collection. Yes, neither you seeing it wrongly nor I typed it wrongly. Indeed is year 2008!.

The one I've bought is 002 (Precious Jade) with lightest brown, gold, medium brown/gold & jade green. The other palette is 001, which I have no idea what's the name and it has silver (maybe, because I didn't get the chance to see the real palette as they are only offerring Precious Jade palette here & now), light blue, pink and purple.

So this is an outdated but leftover yet pity to dispose away from last year spring. This reasoned why the palette is so cheap, much more cheaper than the single shadow. From my research, I've found out the original price of this palette was 4,800yen / USD49.00. If converted into Ringgit, it'll be RM180.00!. The same price as I paid for DIOR 5 colors Iridescent palette!.

I ain't complain! I love the soft and builable texture, which don't cakey or crease. It is smooth, sheer and very suitable for OL look. The casing is simple, round with transparent glitters outer ring & white cover and push button. The palette comes with 2 decent sponge tip & brush, I don't use them anyway. For me, I'm living in a country with only Summer whole year long. So it doesn't really matter whether the colors are from spring, summer, fall or winter collection. As long as I love the colors, it shows up well on me, never smudge / crease or cake on me, I'm all fine with it. In fact, I'm still very happy I can grab this palette at only RM68 / USD18.50 instead of RM180.00 / USD49.00. That's so far different! Kekeke...

I have no idea about others but would like to know what is your next procedure after cleansing ? Previous years, I did my toning right after cleansing before eyecare product and moisturizing. Until recently I've started to put on eye gel / cream before toning. Mainly because I've changed the entire skincare products few months ago. From cleansing part, I've changed my regular BEAUTE DE KOSE | White Succeed Washing Cream into HABA Squa Facial Soap. I need a damp skin for my new moisturizer to be fully absorb and bring it to the maximum effects. I'm lazy to spend so much time on applying another layer of toner after eye product but before moisturizer. Hence, I've started a new routine for myself, which is apply the eye product right after cleansing, then toning & lastly moisturizing.

Currently, I'm using 2 types of eye product. For my day use,

I was so tempted to grab the [A'kin] Ginkgo & Chamomile Revitalising Eye Night Creme (RM118.00 / USD32.00) as well but stopped myself from buying because I've spent too much since the Lunar Chinese New Year. Now I'm so regret for not getting it. I should have just grab the Eye Night Creme! It was 20% off!.

I always have allergic / sensitive skin, so it's unlike me to be so brave and trying out a new product since I have too much bad experiences especially on eyes. I saw the packaging imprinted that they are formulated free from:

[A'kin] White Tea & Cornflower Soothing & Relaxing Eye Day Gel in a tiny bottle of 15ml. The packaging looks normal with a pump, nothing fancy to me. Just a pump is needed for both eyes and it's light-weight despite the yellowish gel looks like heavy eye cream. The eye gel absorbed rapidly without any notice and soothes my tired eyes. So overwhelming when I've noticed the bright and de-puff effects working on my eyes! My eyebags and dark circles are so annoying since I was a small kid even when I have my enough 12 hours of beauty sleeps!. Although I haven't see much effects on reducing my dark circles & fine lines but I'm definitely happy to reduces my undereye puffiness. I can't comment on whether it is a good eye makeup base or not because I'm using it together with my new concealer. I have no idea whether is my good eye gel or good concealer that makes my eye makeups look so decent now. Hahaha... Anyhow, I'll do some testing on it as eye makeup base.

Other than white tea, cornflower as stated in the name, it also contain esculin, vitamin C, alpha lipoic asid & panthenol (proVitamin B5), which soothes the skin. Also, this soothing & relaxing eye gel was commended by UK beauty experts (New Woman Beauty Awards) in the best new skincare product (mass brands) category.

For my night eyecare, I'm using this:

For the last 2 years, I'm been using Origins Eye Doctor to moisture my fragile skin around eye. It's a nice eye cream, not oily with a mild cucumber scent, which is refreshing. It's around RM160.00 / USD44.00, a bit pricey. If you refer to their website, Eye Doctor can help on reducing puffiness, counter crow's feet, fade dark shadows, and fight off free radical damage.

To be very honest, I don't see a single thing works on me although, it contains the goodness of cucumber, rosemary, ginseng & green tea. I think the only reason why am I still using Origins Eye Doctor, because this is the only one eye cream that won't irritate my sensitive skin. At least something to protect my eye area from getting worse, better than to do nothing about it at all. Now, I'd put this into my night eyecare routine since I have the [A'kin] as day eye gel. I'll definitely try on [A'kin] Ginkgo & Chamomile Revitalising Eye Night Creme very soon and yeah, KOSE | Moisture Skin Repair Eye Cream is good too and the price is about the same as Origins Eye Doctor. The essence from the same line had been introduced in Taiwanese TV Show ' Queen' some weeks ago. I'll do the review on KOSE | Moisture Skin Repair Essence in later post.

I've tried too many eye cream / gels, none of them impressed me as much as [A'kin]. I'll get more stuffs from [A'kin].

Back to the bag. The reason why I chose this ::HK:: Miss Monster Drawstring Tote Purple "Love me or Hate me" because of the versatility and practicality. I always love funky yet practical bags especially tote (it's big!). It's roomy for my extremely lots of thing, I'm just like Doraemon (you name it, I have it) ! 1st rule on my bags selection is, must be at least 2 comparments / pockets for me to chuck in some smaller items etc. keys & mobile phone. I don't like to digs and searches, eventually pours everything out from the bag for the smallest item such as hair pin?. I love to arrange my stuffs or the feeling in neat and tidy way, when I put my hands into the bag I'll know where exactly my stuffs. When my stuffs are all in place / order, I'll feel assured. Mind you, I'm bringing everything in and out every single day! Hahaha... Thus, it's so not me to carry a small pouch or clutch and walk around, not even on evening dinner.I need a larger bag !

This bag also consist a drawstring top for easy access. Also zippers on 4 corners to adjust bag size, which allows to further enlargement (I can put more things inside !). The color matching between purple and turqouise is attractive.

Most Important Part of my Life 3: Makeup Remover

I've tried quite a numbers of cleanser or makeup remover. Here are some reviews on what I have been using and brands that I consider worth a mentioned.

Nevertheless, definitely Shu Uemura High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil. Recently, they came out with the Advanced Formula. Few day ago, I'd just stock up another bottle of Shu Uemura Brightening Cleansing Oil. Not much different in between both remover, only additional brightening and clarifying effects. Haven't try the brightening cleansing oil yet, but Shu Uemura High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil has been my most trustworthy cleanser.

I've started to use Shu Uemura since few years ago but keeping on switching in between brands once in a while. It was painstaking to get Shu Uemura since we only have 1 Shu Uemura counter in my area and it's not a very convenient place to go. Secondly, comparing to other brands Shu Uemura is slightly out of my budget. RM260.00 / USD72.00 for High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil and RM280.00 / USD77.80 for Brightening Cleansing Oil. Both in large bottle size of 450ml.

So one day, I'd found this...

This really reminds me a lot of Shu Uemura High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil. It has a pleasant smell, the texture is slightly thicker than Shu Uemura. Although the Origins Clean Energy cleanse my skin just like Shu Uemura, but it takes more effort to massage on skin since the texture is thicker. After emulsify with a little bit of water, Clean Energy became milky and smooth. It's only RM88.00 / USD24.50 for a bottle of 200ml. Please be reminded the pump is separately sold, the pump is RM6.00 / USD1.60. Since I can always use back the pump so it don't bother me that much.

Origins Clean Energy Cleansing Oil is a new love for me but Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Plantidote™ Mega-Mushroom Face Cleanser is the real reason why I got attracted into Origins counter. I love mushroom a lot, thus when the SA introduced me this Mega Mushroom Face Cleanser, without any hesitation I grabbed one.

I love the pleasant smell (more than Clean Energy & Shu Uemura), it's refreshing and relaxing. The texture is smooth and I'll feel calm & great sensation after the wash. It is especially fabulous on dry skin & sensitive skin. According to Origins official website:

This is also another reason for me to splurge on this mushroom cleanser. You should have guess on this mushroom cleanser price tag. All I can remember, this is not a cheap cleanser for 150ml.

Skinfood Parsley Cleansing Oil Mousse is also what I'm been using as normal days makeup remover. Whenever I'm wearing BB Cream or heavy makeups, I'll use either Origins or Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil. Someday, somewhere I'd read (by a blogger, which I can't remember. Sorry about that, I'm reading too many postings from too many bloggers in a day...kekeke...) BB Cream is 3 times more stubborn than normal foundation. It means we have to use 3 times more effort to remove BB cream throughly. Since I'm not using BB Cream every single day, I'm not going to burn my pocket with expensive makeup remover when a slightly cheaper remover will do the job on normal foundation.

Skinfood Parsley Cleansing Oil Mousse is a much cheaper option compare to Shu Uemura & Origins. It's only RM49.90 / USD14.00 for a bottle of 170ml.

It has some kind of strong jasmine smell but not parsley *scratching my head*. Shake the bottle lightly and pump out desire amount, it comes out white mousse foam (just like our hair mousse). When I apply the mousse foam on my skin, it dissolves and becomes oil. The texture is more similar to Shu Uemura, which is watery and smooth. After emulsify, the oil become milkier but not as thick as Origins. I'm quite satisfied with this Parsley Cleansing Oil Mousse. Although I don't really like the jasmine fragrance smell, but still, it cleanse my face in an acceptable manner. With the kind of price and quality, I'll definitely come back for more. Anyway, this is my second bottle.

Most Important Part of my Life 2: Makeup Remover (Eye & Lips)

This is my first and best eye & lips makeup remover, Yves Rocher Express Cleanser for Sensitive Eyes With Cornflower. My mum bought this for me with no reason given. Of course, i was more than happy to accept a free gift! By then, I was too lazy to use any eye & lips makeup remover (as usual, hahaha...) and left inside the drawer for more than a year. One day while I'm watching my favourite Taiwanese fashion & beauty show 'Queen', one of the invited makeup artist mentioned the importance of cleanse / remove our eye makeup. To my surprise, by not removing eye makeup throughly, residues will stay on lid and under eye. This may results to uneven color, premature aging and DARK CIRCLE !

They'd never over promised on this item. It's indeed cleanse out my eye makeup effortlessly. It looks oily from the bottle but after a wash it only leaves you a pair of throughly clean eyes. It doesn't has any smell, at least I'd never detect any from this bottle. A gentle yet conditioning & powerful eye makeup remover. I'd never try it on lips before thus I can't give any comments on it. Since it's a gift from my mum long time ago, she can't remember how much she bought it. If I didn't remember wrongly, 118 ml costs about RM21.50 / USD6.00. The reason why I didn't repurchase it since it's such a good remover, I'm such a adventurous person and I love to explore new things ! Until...

SkinFood Milk Shake Point Makeup Remover.

Long story, short say, not satisfied with the result and price. It costed me RM39.90 / USD11.00 for 160ml. Nice packaging with cute little angel (the bottle reminds me of Heinz's ketchup), smells like milk shake, which explained the name and light purple in color. The texture is not bad as this is an emulsion and water base remover, not oily because it's milky but it doesn't removes eye makeup that effectively, other than that it did leaves my lips feel moisture and soft. Nothing else worth to mention.
As a thrifty consumer, finally finished up the last drop of Skinfood Milk Shake Point Makeup Remover. I'd rush to the nearest Elianto store and grab a bottle of Pomegranate Lip & Eye Makeup Remover.
According to their website:
Pomegranate has powerful antioxidant properties to protect skin from free radicals and makes skin look younger. It is also found to promote cell regeneration. This gentle formula easily removes all waterproof and long-wearing lip and eye makeup, leaving skin clean, supple and free from residue.

Whether it's promote cell regeneration and makes me look younger, that's still a mystery but this refreshing and powerful remover really does a good job for me. Without much efforts, it dissolves all my waterproof makeups including stubborn KATE Gel Eyeliner and the infamous Majolica Majorca mascara. It's only RM18.00 / USD5.00 for 110ml, which is a great deal.

There are other choices such as Deep Sea, Cucumber and Green Tea, which serves different purposes. At the moment, I'll stick with Yves Rocher Express Cleanser For Sensitive Eyes With Cornflower and Elianto Pomegranate Lip & Eye Makeup Remover unless anything better than these. I've read many raves about the Lancome Bi Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover. I'm so tempted to grab one, but the price tag stops me. Since I don't wear any contact lenses, normal remover would fit the bills but I know I'll get it someday...

Most Important Part of my Life 1: Cleansing

Seriously, I never started any basic skincare routine until 4 or 5 years ago. My mum always tell me 'You are still young, natural is beauty. Don't wear too much makeup or else you'll look haggard and old in no time. Makeup or too much skincare products will spoil your good & young skin. So don't start it before you hit 30 years old'. Even until now, I'm hitting my 30 pretty soon. She's still saying the same old thing to me but I don't think my skin is really in that fantastic condition anymore.

When I was in my early twenties, I don't even bother to wash my face after a day out. Not mentioned, toning, moisturizing & putting on sunblock. Until one day in my 26 years of life, I found some horrible freckles on my left cheek. Oh no, I told myself. I must do something about it. Initially, I started with affordable and good quality skincare products, which mainly from local drugstores. Until 2 years ago, my direction turned to Medium & High End brands mostly because drugstore brands didn't really do much or showed results on my skin & some even broke me out. Garnier is the most significant drugstore brand that I'm so allergic to it. I'll explain how i'm allergic on Garnier products in the later post.

Now you understand how lazy kind of person I am ! Hahaha... From drugstore to High End brands, you name it I'd tried it and this cleanser works the best result for me. HABA Squa Facial Soap ! Initially, I have no intention to buy this piece of soap. One day, while I was working outstation and wandering around by myself. Actually, I was looking for Kanebo counter, but the SA wasn't around and HABA counter is just beside Kanebo. To my curiosity I decided to see what are they offering since I've never heard about this brand. My gut feeling tells me, although the brand is unknown to me but it won't be cheap either. Yes, a bottle of moisturizer (they don't called it moisturizer though, is protection beauty oil) cost RM245.00/USD67.00 for 60ml only! There are 2 reasons why I still purchased it despite the high price tag. I'm been using KOSE products for quite some times, it's unusual for me to be so faithful. Hahaha... Secondly, the SA really persuaded me by all natural ingredients, never leads to sensitive / allergic and nothing extra. I took up a promotion pack, which included this Squa Facial Soap.

Initially, I was hesitated to try on this facial soap. Mostly because it's such an inconvenient to bring it around (my job requires a lot of travels) and I'm too lazy to rub foams out from the soap. Looking at my wallet, this soap alone cost RM49.00/USD13.00. My previous facial foams are triple from this facial soap, but I wouldn't want to waste it. After a 1 month, I've started to feel the differences. Every month, 1 week before my 'bill' reaches me, there were always zits, pimples and rough skin. This really annoyed me, because I need at least 3 weeks to recover. It means I can't have a single day of good skin ! 3 + 1 week already 1 month, there comes the 'bill' again !

Although HABA Squa Facial Soap still leaves me some tight feeling if I'm using it alone. At least, my skin is smooth and free from problems. The SA told me, this is a triple moist facial soap thus it won't dries up your skin like other facial soap. I've tried tons of cleanser, nothing impressed me. So far this is the best for me.

According to HABA official website, this luxurious soap is enriched with 3% of Squalane (a natural moisturizer inherent in our body) and moisturizing agents such as Royal Jelly Extract and Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract.
Above mentioned is my personal experiences, I'm just trying to share informations and reviews with everybody. *Winks*. Whether you have tested this facial soap or you're having your own Holy Grail cleanser, please leave me some comments. I would like to hear from you too.

Haulage & Reviews

Actually, I was suppose to do a post (yes, today) on my recent haulage and some product reviews on what I'm been using. Unfortunately, my camera battery is dead and I just couldn't find the charger (Sighs, Someone borrowed it a while ago and misplaces the charger again! Yes, I really mean AGAIN... Hahaha...). I know I can use my mobile phone to capture some pictures but the results are real bad & blur. I can't even see my EOTD clear enough, it washes out the colors. My bad... Kekeke... Anyway, I'll do my product review from tomorrow onwards (I'm giving this person 1 more last chance to get my charger back in place! *=P*) I'll start with my basic skincare. Stay tunes !

In fact, I have no idea what should I say in this very 1st posting. Before I came out with this big idea of having a blog for myself, I always love to read blogs especially on makeups, skincare & fashions. Mind you, I'm also a diligent follower of a number of bloggers (for a long time), so you probably saw my name on your comments once in a blue moon.
